December 2, 2017 Mildred Marie [Fessler] Golas Mildred Marie Golas of Cyril, Oklahoma was born August 17, 1937 in Buffalo, New York to William Wilhelm and Mary (Fahmer) Fessler. She passed away December 2, 2017 at her home in Cyril at the age of 80. Mildred graduated high school, and went to cosmetology school. As a young woman, she worked as a candy striper in a hospital, and eventually, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at a military hospital. She married John Jake Klehn on July 11, 1959 in New York. He preceded her in death. She continued working her way up in the hospital while raising her family. Mildred took on a variety of jobs throughout her life, but being home to raise her children became the most important thing she did. She also developed a passion for driving and was a Powder Puff Stock Car driver in New York. She eventually married again to Anthony Golas on November 25, 1972 in Buffalo, NY. They moved to Cyril, OK to be closer to her daughter, Mary. Anthony also preceded her in death. Mildred always kept busy. She worked as a county election board official. She enjoyed gardening, doing crochet and working her puzzle books. She loved playing games and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by: 5 children- Mary Lunn and companion, Thomas Ross Chickasha, OK Johnny and wife, Amy Klehn Zebulon, NC Julie and husband, Mark Ingle Cyril, Lisa and husband, Robert Hinton Cyril, OK Timothy and wife, Amalia Klehn Sacramento, CA 1 step-daughter Elizabeth and husband John Helper Buffalo, NY 20 grandchildren- Timothy Rogers, Jennifer Echols, Cristy Hood, Rebecca Smith, Johnny Ray Lucas, Jr., Ashley Klehn, Tori Klehn, Amanda Dahmer, Megan Ingle, Joey Dahmer, Trevor Ingle, Eric Dahmer, Joshua O'Brien, Christopher O'Brien, Desirae Hinton, Johnny Hicks, Timothy Klehn, Jr., Margaret Wesolski, Johnny Helper, Jr., Danny Helper, 32 great-grandchildren 1 brother- Phillip Fessler Buffalo, NY 1 sister- Mary Kern Buffalo, NY. She was preceded in death by: Her parents Her two husbands, A baby A grandson, Jacob Hinton, 2 brothers - William Fessler and Raymond Fessler, 1 sister, Charlotte Fessler Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 6th at 2:00 P.M. at the Family Life Church of Cyril with Pastor Donnie Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Celestial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home. Her grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers. |
