Buell Fahy Estes
October 10, 1895 ~ January 4, 1979

Buell, along with siblings Buren and Rowena, were born in Thurman, Iowa to parents Joel and Addie Belle [Howe] Estes. Buell's mother died in 1908, when he was only thirteen years old.

Following her death, Buell's father moved the family to Oklahoma since they appear on the 1910 US Federal Census as living in Oklahoma City. Also on this census, Buell's step-mother Marietta [Plaisted] Estes is listed. Buell's father and step-mother would later have three known children, Marion, who lived to adulthood and Jolette and an unnamed infant who both died young.

On December 1, 1917 Buell married Edith Castleberry, daughter of John and Ettie Castleberry. The marriage took place in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Buell and Edith became parents of two children, Mary Belle and Joel.

In 1930, Buell was working as a machinist for an auto company. By 1940 he moved his family to Cement in Caddo County where he made a living as a farmer.
