Grove, Oklahoma July 18, 2017 Wanda Aileen [Maier] Cowen July 10, 1931 ~ July 18, 2017 Wanda Aileen Cowen, formerly of Cyril, OK was born July 10, 1931 in Apache, OK to Peter Paul and Ollie Mae [Walters] Maier. She passed away July 18th in Grove, OK at the age of 86. Wanda married Frank Cowen on June 13, 1950 in Apache, he preceded her in death. Together, they enjoyed fishing and traveling all over the United States. They especially enjoyed visiting family in Oregon and California. She liked listening to Country music, reading novels, playing card games and watching her favorite TV Westerns and soap operas. Wanda loved her family, and taking care of her grandchildren, even attending their sporting events as she was able. She is survived by: One daughter and her husband - Jan and Dan Esmon Eufaula, OK One son and his wife - Paul and Leigh Anne Cowen Cyril, OK 6 grandchildren - Brandy and husband, Ryan Stafford; Brock Cowen, Sarah Cowen, Carson Avery, Drew Cowen, Kyle Cowen 2 great-grandchildren - Mason Milford, Ben Stafford. She was preceded in death by: Her parents Her husband 1 granddaughter - Shanna Whitcomb 4 brothers - Leon Maier, Tommy Maier, Billy Paul Maier, Jimmy Maier 3 sisters - Opal Foster, Joyce Clift, Marie Trujillo. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 21st, at 10:00 A.M. at Calvary Temple in Cyril with Pastor Kip Ackley officiating. Burial will follow in Celestial Gardens under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are: Carson Avery Wyatt Hill Chance Laughlin Timmy Manning Don Schneberger Ryan Stafford |
