Imogene Marie [Smith] Cooper
June 12, 1925 ~ November 28, 2009


Chickasha - Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Cement with Rev. Raymond McPherson, pastor of Life Journey Church officiating. Mrs. Cooper died Saturday in Chickasha. Burial will be in Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril under the direction of Becker Cement Chapel, formerly Robbins Cement Chapel.

She was born June 12, 1925 in Carnegie to James and Jessie Bell [Smith] Mason. She married Thomas Edward Cooper on August 23, 1966 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He died September 7, 1996. Mrs. Cooper was a waitress for many years and a Cement Area Avon representative for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cement.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Jan Cooper, Chickasha, a step daughter, Susan Whitfield, Lawton, 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, James Cooper.
