Cecil C. Cannon of Cyril, Oklahoma was born August 28, 1924 in Mansfield, AR to Harvey A. and Rebecca [Cribbs] Cannon. He passed away November 24th in Lawton, OK at the age of 90.

He moved to California in 1943 and entered the Army Air Force, served in World War II as a radio operator. He returned after the war and worked for a paper company.

He married Betty Cannon and she preceded him death in 1995.

He then went to work as an auto mechanic for about 10 years before going to work at a logging company for a couple years. After that, he went to work for General Motors and in 1979, moved to Oklahoma City where he continued working for General Motors until his retirement in 1989.

He later moved to the Fletcher area and married Mary Ann Bowman. He was a member of Calvary Temple in Cyril.

He is survived by: His wife, Mary Ann, of Lawton, 1 brother, Lee Elmo Cannon of Duncan, OK, A sister-in-law, Thelma Cannon of Duncan, OK, Numerous nieces, nephews and other family, including Mary Ann's family.

He was preceded in death by: His first wife, Betty Cannon, 2 brothers, Glen Cannon and Nelson Cannon, 3 sisters, Esther Heavin, Lois Dacus and Lorene Williams.

A Graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, November 29th at 2:00 P.M. at Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril with Pastor Kip Ackley, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home.
