Tom Gilliam, nephew, will officiate. Margie was born the daughter of Sam Gilliam and Martha "Maggie" Hildreth Gilliam on July 28, 1909 in Cyril, Oklahoma. She died on November 12, 2012 at her home in Elizabeth, Arkansas. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home, Chickasha. |
June 14, 2013 Panatha Sue [Blane] Callahan March 15, 1932 ~ June 14, 2013 Funeral for Panatha Sue Blane Callahan, 81, will be Tuesday, June 18th, 2013, at 10 am at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 410 W. Cole Street, Fletcher, OK. Panatha died June 14th. Burial will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril, OK. She was born on the family farm southwest pf Snyder, OK on March 15, 1932 to James G. and Velma Blaine. She grew up there and was a graduate of Snyder High School. She attended college at OCW in Chickasha where she met her husband, Roger C. Callahan. They were married on August 20th, 1951. They had a daughter, Rhonda and a son, Robin. They were an oilfield family and lived in many places, including Arkansas, Missippi, Louisiana and finally settled in Cyril, OK. After her children were grown,Panatha attended RN school at Cameron University. She worked for many years at the Caddo County Health Department before retiring and moving to the Meers/Lake Lawtonka area. She enjoyed travel and visiting many places with her friends and co-worker, Troy Harden. She traveled to such places as Europe, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Central and South America. She also saw much of the United States with her sisters and brother-in-law, Gene Smith in his motor home. She loved the finer things, as was evident by her vast wardrobe and collection of designer eggs. Panatha, as like her sisters, was very fond of her dogs. She was a devoted Sooner fan, even during "the lean years." She always wore her OU shirt on game days. She attended many OU/Texas games, as was a Blaine sister's tradition. Panatha weighed only 2 Omega lbs at birth, and although she suffered from various health problems throughout her life, she always had a positive attitude and lived life to the fullest and she was tough. After becoming a widow at the young age of 50, she worked as many as three jobs at a time and also remained dedicated to her family, even though she was devastated by the loss of her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, a granddaughter and family, Hrissy and husband J. D. and Anna Mayall, and a son-in-law, Charles Price. Survivors include her son Robin Callahan and wife Brenda in Lawtpn, daughter Rhonda Price, grandchildren Shancy Brown and wife Elizabeth, Charles Price jr, granddaughters, Marcy Redden and husband Eddie, Shila :ove and husband Bart, all of Cyril, Linda Musick and husband Robbie of Chickasha and Reagan Callahan of New Jersey, four sisters, Panzie Biggs of Lubbock Texas, Velma Blair and husband Norman of Wichita Falls Texas, Barbara Smith and husband Gene of College Station Texas and Jimmie Marshall of Norman and Many nieces and nephews. |
