Friday, December 19, 2014 Irvan Duncan Brock Irvan D. Brock of Granbury, 88, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 in Granbury. Irvan was born July 22, 1926 in Cement, OK. to Melvin and Omalee Duncan Brock. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II. He married Billie Moser on Aug. 19, 1944 in Cyril OK and they were married for 70 years. Irvan worked for Halliburton Service retiring after 25 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Granbury, a lifetime member of Masonic Lodge #504 in Cyril and Masonic Lodge #392 in Granbury. Irvan was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Tony Brock; daughter, Lana Good; two brothers and a sister. Survivors: Wife of 70 years, Billie Brock of Granbury; daughter, Judy Jones of Tuttle, OK; son, Roger Brock of Granbury; grandchildren, Darrin Good and wife, Barbara of Granbury, Tammy Crawford and husband, Zack of Granbury and Travis "T.J." Brock of Granbury; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. |
November 10, 1967 PFC William Tony "Bill" Brock Pfc. U.S. Army, [US54665376], Vietnam War-Pfc. Brock was killed in action by small arms fire during Operation MacArthur/Binh Tay near Hill 724 on 11-10-1967 while serving as a Light Weapons Infantryman with Co. D of the 3rd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. Pfc. Brock started his tour of Vietnam on 8-11-1967. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Irvan D. Brock of 707 West Caddo Avenue, Wilburton, Oklahoma, and he enlisted with the Army on 2-2-1967. Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal. |
