Ivron Clay Wood

Age 88, Cement - Funeral services will be 1PM Wednesday at the Cement High School Auditorium in Cement with Rev. Lindell Warren, nephew of Yukon, and Rev. Eugene Howeth, nephew of Rush Springs officiating.

Mr. Wood died Saturday in Chickasha, OK. Burial with military honors and Masonic Rites will be in Cement Cemetery under the direction of Becker Cement Chapel, formerly Robbins Cement Chapel.

He was born December 6, 1919 in Norge, Oklahoma to John E. and Mary [Roberts] Wood. He married Ova Lou Stancil on January 4, 1947 in Anadarko. Mr. Wood served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He retired as a plant engineer for Oklahoma Natural Gas after 35 years. He was a past lodge master at Cement Masonic Lodge. He was a wood carver and enjoyed coon hunting in his younger years.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, four children, John Earl Wood and his wife Jane, El Paso, Texas, Marilyn Lou Teel and her husband Dan, Cement, Wendell Carey Wood and his wife Paula, Fort Cobb and Annette Jackson, Cement, grandchildren, Machelle, Jason, Meggin, Amy and her husband Aaron, Jerry, Paul and his wife Makala, Jeremy and his wife Amanda, Christopher, Kristi and Keith, great grandchildren, Tayl'r, Lexi, Bronlyn, Deanette, Kara, Kelsey, Briar and Hunter, numerous nieces and nephews, three close friends, Wayne Chambers, George "Shorty" Blakley and Tommy Teel and a special niece, Zella Harris, Chickasha. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters.

Ova Lou [Stancil] Wood

ge 85, Cement - Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at the Cement Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. John Zwolle, pastor and Rev. Wesley Warren officiating.

She passed from this life in Cement, Oklahoma and met her Lord and family in heaven on April 16, 2010. Burial will be in Cement Cemetery under the direction of Becker Cement Chapel, formerly Robbins Cement Chapel.

Ova Lou was born on September 12, 1924 in the small community of Cottonwood, southeast of Cement, Oklahoma to Robert and Louisa Stancil.

She married Ivron C. Wood on January 4, 1947 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and was a lifetime member of the Cement Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved to sew, crochet, quilt and embroidery. She also loved to can fruits and vegetables.

Those who have gone before her in death are her husband, parents and six older brothers and sisters; Irene, Alta, Belle, Joyce, Tom and Fern and one younger sister, Palmidole.

She is survived by her children; John Earl Wood and his wife Jane, El Paso, Texas, Marilyn Lou Teel and her husband Dan, Cement, Wendell Wood and his wife Paula, Fort Cobb and Annette Jackson, Cement, grandchildren, Machelle Wood, Jason Wood, Meggin Wood, Amy Blithe and her husband Aaron, Jerry Teel, Paul Wood and his wife Makala, Jeremy Wood and his wife Amanda, Christopher Holland, Kristi Jackson and Keith Jackson. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Briar and Hunter Blythe, Tayl'r, Lexie and Bronlyn Wood, Deanette, Kara and Kelsey Wood and numerous nieces and nephews.
