Sharron Fay [Cooper] Weight
Funeral service for Sharron Fay Weight, age 47, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2000, in the Cement High School Auditorium. Rev. Mike Bates will officiate and Rev. Bob Settle will assist.
Sharron was born on March 10, 1953, the daughter of W.L. "Doc" Cooper and Gertrude White Cooper, in Altus, Oklahoma. She died on Friday, July 21, 2000, in Oklahoma City.
Sharron moved to Cement as a child from Altus. She married Carlos P. Weight on November 27, 1982, in Cement. Sharron began working for Grady Memorial Hospital on June 16, 1975, as a patient care aide in the emergency room. She worked at the hospital until December of 1998.
She was preceded in death by her father, W.L. "Doc" Cooper, on September 13, 1983.
Survivors include her husband, Carlos P. Weight, of the home; mother, Gertrude Cooper of Cement; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Tommy Butler of Ft. Cobb; sister and brother-in-law, Jacquelyn and John Hargus of Cement; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie Clift and Jo Dell of Cement; sister and brother-in-law, Marla Mahler and Randy of Chickasha ; sister and brother-in-law, Jean Cooper and Harold of Chickasha; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Rickie Byfield of Chickasha; brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Debra Cooper of Chickasha; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Carol Cooper of Cement; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Peggy Cooper of Ardmore; seven nieces; nine nephews; a number of great nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in the Cement Cemetery under the direction of the McRay's Cyril Funeral Home.
