© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma September 2006 Anna Paulette[ Starkey] Taylor Graveside service for Anna Paulette Taylor, age 64 of Verden, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, in the Cement Cemetery. Anna Paulette Taylor was born the daughter of J. C. Starkey and Virgie Mae Emmons Starkey on April 26, 1942 in Tyronza, Arkansas. She died on August 30, 2006, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Anna spent most of her early childhood in Arkansas. She was married at an early age and lived many places during her life. Anna lived in the Weleetka and Henryetta area for many years, then moved to Verden in 2004. She loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother, Anna was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Cement. She was preceded in death by her father, two nieces and a sister-in-law. Survivors include: son: Mark Compton of Tulsa; son: Jimmy Hill of Barnsdall; daughter: Anna Hill of Chickasha; mother: Virgie Starkey of Verden; brother: J. C. Starkey, Jr. of Weleetka; sister: Geneva Wann of Palmer, Alaska; brother: George Starkey of Weleetka; sister: Shelby Keeton of Verden; brother: Charles Starkey of Weleetka; sister: Bobbie Sue Leasure of Brinkley, Arkansas; sister: Margaret Walker of Marianna, Arkansas; brother: Danny Starkey of Pinion, Alabama; sister: Julie Weathers of Anadarko; aunt: Jewel Hinton of Verden; numerous nieces & nephews. Service will be under the direction of the McRay's Verden Funeral Home. Viewing will begin on Tuesday, September 5 at the Verden Funeral Home Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church of Anadarko. |
