Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, August 4, 1965 Maudie Bell [Porter] Sewell Maude Belle Porter was born in Denton county, TX. She was married to Martin Sewell in 1896 in Texas and in 1901 they came to Cement to make their home Eleven children were born to them. She was preceded in death by two daughters and her husband who died June 23, 1961. Daughters, Mrs. Dora Stilwell of Saint Jo, Texas; Mrs. Nellie White, Gilroy, Calif., Mrs. Edith Duncan, Carnegie and Mrs. Beatrice Mayer, Chickasha; Sons, Warney Sewell of Chickasha, Bill of Whiteface, Texas; Alva, Gilroy, Calif.; Cecil, Oklahoma City, and Dude of Cement. Brothers, Mack Porter, Nacona, Texas, and Jess of Fort Worth; sisters, Mrs. Virgie Allison and Mrs. Frankie Sharp, both of Fort Worth. |

Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, March 1973 Warney W. Sewell Warney W. Sewell was married to the former Julia Johnson in December 1926 at Cement. They resided in Cyril from 1929 until 1963 and had made their home in Chickasha since that time. He was employed for 33 years at the Apco refinery in Cyril. Father of Charlene Rush of Chickasha and Irene Zike of Lawton. Brother of Raymond of Cement; Bill of Levelland, TX; Alva of Gilroy, CA; Cecil of Oklahoma City; Edith Duncan of Carnegie and Nellie White of Gilroy, CA. |
