Orval Clifton Moser

Services for Orval Clifton Moser, 78, of Cyril were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30 at the Cyril First Christian Church with Charles Roberts of Chickasha and Larry Sweeney, pastor officiating.

Mr. Moser was born April 27, 1914 in Cement and died Saturday March 27, 1993 at his home.

He and the former Dorothy Woody were married April 11, 1934 in Fletcher.

Mr. Moser worked for the Caddo County Watershed and the Cyril Refinery before operating his own feed store. Later he was employed by Leeway Motor Freight Service Company. He was a farmer at the time of his death. He lived in the Cement and Cyril areas all his life.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Joan Phillips of Cyril and Pat Turnbull of Fort Worth, Texas, one brother, Jack Moser of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Maye Bledsoe and Dolly Samples, both of Chickasha, eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in the Cement Cemetery under direction of Robbins Funeral Home of Fletcher.

Dorothy "Dot" [Woody] Moser

Services for Dorothy "Dot" Moser, 89, Cyril, were held Monday, January 12, 2004, at the First Christian Church, Cyril, with Rev. Joe Howard, Pastor, First Christian Church, Cyril, officiating.

Burial was at the Cement Cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home. Fletcher.

Mrs. Moser died Friday, January 9, 2004, at her residence.

She was born September 12, 1914 in Stringtown, to James and Amelia [Zisman] Woody. She grew up in Fletcher and graduated from Fletcher High School. She was a homemaker. She married Orval Clifton Moser, April 11, 1934, in Fletcher. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1993.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son Robert James Moser, and one grandson Monty Ray Phillips.

Survivors include two daughters; Joan Phillips, Cyril; and Pat Moser, Ft. Worth, Texas; sister, Hester Laging, Fletcher; six grandchildren; Joetta Kemper, Coy Dale Morris, Bobby Jay Morris, Kenny Dean Morris, Monica Adamson, Donlyn Jones; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
