Allen Richard "Minnow" Woodard
September 3, 1941 ~ November 16, 2010


ANADARKO: Funeral for Allen Woodard, 69, Anadarko, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Cedar Creek United Methodist Church, Carnegie, with the Rev. Alvin Deere officiating.

Mr. Woodard was called from labor to reward Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, in a Lawton hospital.

Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Comanche Nation Funeral Home, Lawton, with the Rev. Milton Otis officiating.

Burial will be at Cache Creek KCA Cemetery under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.

Minnow entered this life September 3, 1941, at the home in Carnegie, the son of Marquis Oliver Sr. and Pearl Botone Woodard.

He was raised in Anadarko, and attended Riverside Indian School and Anadarko Public Schools.

Minnow worked for the Sequoia Mill, the Kiowa Tribe Ceta Program and worked in the maintenance department at Comanche Nation Casino. He was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma and the Kiowa Gourd Clan.

Minnow enjoyed joking, laughing, playing pool and being with his family and friends.

Allen leaves to cherish his memories two sons: William Michael Woodard and Garreth Lynn Woodard, both of Chickasha; two granddaughters: Miles Kristine Morrison - Woodard, of Apache; and Alyssa Marie Woodard, of Chickasha; two grandsons: Logan Jordon Woodard and Gavin Brian Zane Woodard, both of Chickasha; two sisters: Allene Woodard, of Anadarko; and Lena Bohay Kaulaity, of Carnegie; one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Ruby Woodard, of Carnegie; as well as many cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Newton Woodard; parents; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Lizzie Woodard; maternal grandparents, Dick and Hazel White Buffalo Botone; and three brothers: Phil R. Bohay, George D. Botone and Marquis Oliver Woodard Jr
