Apache, Oklahoma June 2013 September 26, 1948 ~ June 26, 2013 James Weryackwe returned home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mahsetky Methodist Church of Apache, with Pastor Ronnie Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Cache Creek KCA Cemetery, Apache, under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. He was born in Lawton on September 26, 1948, to Martin Weryackwe Sr., and Dolly Chasenah Weryackwe. His maternal grandparents were Arthur Chasenah and Emma Asepermy. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Weryackwe Sr.; his mother, Dolly Weryackwe; two brothers: Wendall Weryackwe and Douglas Weryacwe; his former wife, Suzanne Sockey; and his aunt: Helen Stephenson, who raised him. Survivors include his son, Rance Weryackwe, of Norman; his much beloved granddaughter, Nia Weryackwe, of Norman, whom he called "Baby Girl;" two sisters: Maxine Weryackwe Wahkinney and Kay Weryackwe, of Apache; one brother, Martin Weryackwe Jr., of Anadarko; his adopted family: Myles Stephenson and Mary Lore Stephenson Tslee; and cousins: Tyrus Mahsetky and Mitzi Laurenzana. Pallbearers: Mickey Weryackwe, Dusty Wahkinney, Warren Weryackwe, David Weryackwe, William Weryackwe, Doug Weryackwe Jr. and Martin Flores. |
