Apache, Oklahoma December 2020 November 5, 1961 ~ September 16, 2023 Jeffrey Linn Toehay, 61 was called to eternal rest on September 16, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 5, 1961 to Edgar "Butch" Toehay and Roberta [Pewo] Toehay. Jeffrey was raised in Apache, Oklahoma. He graduated from Apache High School in 1980. Jeffrey went on to attend Cameron University where he played football. He worked in the oil field more than 30 years, he worked for Parker Drilling [81-87], Nabors Drilling and Ladshaw. Jeffrey was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. He was also of Comanche and Apache descent. Jeffrey was a member of Ware's Chapel United Methodist Church and attended J.J. Methvin Memorial Methodist Church in Anadarko. He was a member and drum keeper for the O-Ho-Mah Lodge. Jeffrey was a gifted song leader of Kiowa, Comanche and Apache hymns. He began singing at a young age. Jeffrey was also a championship fancy dancer. He traveled throughout the United States and Canada. Throughout his travels, he made many friends and relatives. He enjoyed spending time with his family, attending family functions, his children's and grandchildren's activities and sporting events. Jeffrey was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners and the proud "Papa" to the Anadarko Blue Jays. He proudly supported the Apache Warriors, Anadarko Warriors, Riverside Braves and Geronimo Blue Jays. Jeffrey married Candance Goodeagle on March 25, 1980 at the Apache Reformed Church. They were married for 43 years. They established their home in Anadarko, Oklahoma where they raised three children Chalene, Chadrick, Charish and their grandchildren. He was a man that carried a song and hymn in his pocket, no matter where he went. You could find him sitting around and singing to his grandkids. Jeffrey is survived by his wife of the home; his daughters and their spouses Chalene and Dustin Tartsah of Anadarko and Charish Toehay and Joseph Thompson of Tama, Iowa. Grandchildren: Xavier, Candelinn, Keaton, Yvette, Kingston, Leo, and Taya. His sister Joanna [Toehay] and brother in law Sam Redbone of Anadarko and sister Lenette Parker of San Antonio, Texas. Jeff also took in his Anadarko Blue Jay boys as his grandsons as well, Kannon, Taven,Titan, Manny, Blake, Kane, Kade, David, Malachi, Tremayne, Korbin, Brody, and Levi. He was preceded in death by his: parents; mom" Vivian Komardley, son, Chadrick Linn; grandson Caedin Neil; sisters, Mary Pewo, Leann Parker Smith, and Jolynne Toehay; paternal grandparents Henry Otis and Katie Keahbone Whitefeather ; maternal grandparents Wilson Pewo and Ethel Eikeahpihoodle Pewo. The pallbearers are Phillip "Yogi" Bread, Dwight Whitebuffalo, Delbert Wahpass, Tim Yeahquo, Vernon Redbone, Xavier Toehay, Keaton Toehay-Tartsah, and Jeffrey Lightfoot. Honorary pallbearers are Braeden Jones, Jordan Beartrack, Bobby Ware, Thomas "GoGo" Goodeagle, Joseph Toehay, Freddie Cozad, Edgar Redbone, Matthew Clark, Stephen Clark, Kenny Goodeagle, Keith Satepeahtaw, and John Hamilton. Anadarko, Oklahoma March 2015 January 28, 1967 ~ March 13, 2015 ANADARKO: Funeral for Jolynne Toehay, 48, Anadarko, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ware's Chapel, Anadarko, with Dusty Miller officiating. Mrs. Toehay went to her heavenly home Friday, March 13, 2015, in Oklahoma City, with her family by her side. Burial will follow at Cache Creek Cemetery under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. All night wake will be at 6 p.m. today Ware's Chapel. She was born Jan. 28, 1967, in Lawton to Edgar and Roberta Pewo Toehay. She grew up in Apache and graduated from Apache High School in 1986. She attended vo- tech and received her CNA certification. Jolynne worked at Silver Crest Nursing Home as a CNA and for a day care center in Anadarko. Jolynne was a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma and was also of Apache and Kiowa decent. Jolynne was a faithful member of Ware's Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing church hymns, Apache Blackfoot, Black Leggings and O-Ho-Mah Lodge songs, going to church, attending powwows, going to her grandchildren's school functions, ball games and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include a son, Joseph Toehay; a companion, Michael Meece; brother and sister-in-law: Jeffrey and Candace Toehay; sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary Pewo, Joanna and Sam Redbone, Leann Parker Smith and Mike Parton, Lenette Parker, Leslie and Paul Hernandez; mom, Vivian Komardley; aunts and uncles: Madeline Soontay, Glenda Mendez, Donald Pewo, Dennis Pewo; nieces and nephews: Henrietta, Edgar, Crystal, DeAnna, Christina, Chalene, Vernon, Chadrick, Daniel, T.J., Michelle, John, Andrew, Charish, Katelen, Buffy and Joe; a grandson she raised, Stephen Wakkie Clark; 35 grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. Fargo, North Dakota October 202i October 5, 1981 ~ October 31, 2021 Chadrick Linn Toehay was born on October 5, 1981, in Ponca City, Okla. He passed away at the age of 40 on October 31, 2021, in Fargo, N.D. He was born to Candace [Goodeagle] and Jeffrey Linn Toehay. Chad graduated from Anadarko High School in 2001. After high school, he attended Haskell Indian Nations University and later attended Caddo-Kiowa Vocational Technical Center, where he became a certified welder. In 2020 he began working toward completing his degree at the College of Menominee Nation. He is a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma and a lifetime member of the O-Ho-Mah Lodge Society. He is also a descendant of the Apache Tribe, Comanche Nation, Osage Nation, Pawnee Nation, Sac & Fox of Missouri and Quapaw Tribe. He also carried water for his Pah-Sue-Li District in his teenage years. Chad helped his Mary Osage Green camp by taking care of the fire for their dinners. He always loved being around the fire and sharing stories with his Osage people. Chad was known for his contagious laugh, his quick-witted responses, and his humor. He never met a stranger and he always made friends everywhere he went. Chad traveled all over the United States and Canada and made numerous friends. He took lots of families as his own. Chad is survived by his grandmother, Delores "Dee Dee" Goodeagle; grandfather, Donald Goodeagle; Sisters, Chalene Toehay-Tartsah and spouse Dustin of Anadarko, Charish Toehay and companion Joe of Tama, Iowa; Henrietta, Crystal, DeAnna, Jolene, Christina, Jonna, Danita, Ponka-We, Jaelin, Lindsey, Amanda, Rosie, Michelle; Brothers, Edgar, Vernon, Daniel, Joseph and John; nieces and nephews, Xavier, Candelinn, Keaton, Baby Y, Kingston, Leo Dennis, and Taya Marie; son, Blue Sky; Special Sisters, Amber, Alva, Angie, Dae Lyn; Special Brother, Tyson, Hector, Terrell, Kevin, Andrew and Joshua; and Aunt Lenette Parker Chad is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Mary Osage Green, Gomes Green, Merton Goodeagle and Hattie Goodeagle; paternal great-grandparents Ethel Eikeahpihoodle Pewo and Wilson Pewo, Katie Keahbone Whitefeather and Henry Otis Toehay; grandparents, Edgar "Butch" and Roberta [Pewo] Toehay; nephew, Caedin Neil; Aunts Yvette Goodeagle, Leslie Parker Hernandez, and Leann Parker Smith, and his Mom Jolynne Toehay. Chad will lie in state Monday, Nov. 8, at the Comanche Nation Funeral Home in Lawton, Okla. Tuesday, he will be moved to the First Baptist Church in Anadarko. An all-night wake service will begin at 7 p.m. Services will be held for him on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the First Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Cache Creek Cemetery, outside of Apache, Okla. An Osage meal will follow at the Wares United Methodist Church campgrounds. |

Kathy Waters Longhat officiating. Caedin died Monday, August 4, 2008, in Lawton. Arrangements are under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.
