June 3, 1964 ~ December 1, 2014


ANADARKO - Sharon Angela [Sweetie] Redbone, 50, of Anadarko, went to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, in Oklahoma City.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at Ware's Chapel, Anadarko with J.T. Goombi officiating.

Burial will follow at Cache Creek KCA Cemetery, Apache, under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.

Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at Ware's Chapel, Anadarko.

Sharon was born June 3, 1964, to Donny and Patricia Whitehorse Redbone in Denver.

She graduated from Broxton High School in 1982. She played basketball and softball for four years, volleyball for three years, was class officer for four years, ran track one year, was homecoming queen during her Junior year and homecoming queen candidate during her Sophomore year. She was also Indian Club Princess and a member of the Indian Club for one year.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandson. Her hobbies included beadwork, cooking, going to garage sales, watching her detective shows, sale barns and casinos.

She is survived by her parents: Donny and Patricia Redbone, of Apache; children: Robert Aitson, of Anadarko; and April Aitson and Candice Aitson, both of Lawton; grandchildren: Anthony Wicker, Ashley Aitson, William Aitson, Patricia Aitson, Tieyah Willhoite, Dezmon Aitson, Destiny Aitson-Tawkoyty, Aliayah Aitson and Mariah Aitson; great-grandchild, Brayden Cottier; sister, Karen and brother-in-law Lloyd Heminokeky, of Cyril; paternal aunt, Karyleen Horsechief, of Fort Cobb; maternal aunts: Rowena Ware, Luana Clark and Beryl Whitehorse, all of Anadarko; and Maxine Komah, of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by brother, Frankie Lee "Tiny Boy" Redbone; paternal grandparents: Frank Redbone and Carrie [Archilita] Redbone; and maternal, Mac Whitehorse and Lucille (Otis) Whitehorse; paternal aunt, Donna Tartsah; and maternal aunt, Ethel Subieta.

Visitation will start at 4 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Ware's Chapel, Anadarko.

1977 Christina Jo Redbone
November 30, 1977 ~ Maech 3, 2024


Christina Jo Redbone, 46, of Anadarko, passed away on March 13, 2024, at her home. She was born on November 30, 1977, at Lawton Indian Hospital to Hugh "Sam" and JoAnna [Toehay] Redbone.

Christina was a proud member of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma.

She grew up in Boone, OK and attended Boone School. After the family relocated to Anadarko, she went to Riverside Indian School. Christina was the Apache Tribal Princess in 1996-1997. She was the American Indian Exposition Rodeo Queen. She attended J.J. Methvin United Methodist Church. Christina loved her family deeply, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include: Parents: Sam and JoAnna Redbone, Daughter: Suzannah Osceola; Sister: Henrietta Redbone, brothers: Edgar Stephen Redbone, Vernon Hugh Redbone [Pam], Joseph Toehay, and Morgan Tosee, Sr. her adopted Dad, adopted siblings William, Rochelle, Laken and Kendra, Uncles: Mike Blocker, Larry Redbone, Steve Chalepah, Tommy Chalepah, Teddy Chalepah, Eddie Chalepah, Aunts Lenette Parker, Carol Wildes, Phyllis Rush, Jenny Buffalohead, Janell Simmons, Jodene Nish, and Millie Bearbow. Preceded in death by her grandparents: Edgar "Butch" & Roberta Toehay, Ruby Redbone, and Clarence "Blackie" Chalepah, adopted Mom: Ila "New Baby" Smith, adopted sister: Lura Smith, Uncles and Aunts: Jeffrey Toehay, Jolynne "GaGa" Toehay, Dennis & Mary Pewo, and her Aunt: Leann Parker Smith, who helped raise her.

Pallbearers are Vernon Redbone, Joseph Toehay, Matthew Clark, Stephen Clark, Jeffrey Lightfoot, Xavier Toehay, Blue Sky Redbone.

Honorary pallbearers are Edgar Redbone, Joey Pewo, Hector Braveheart, Daniel Parker, Andrew Smith, Braeden Jones, and Gabrielle Redbone.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 18th, 2024, Christ Our Savior Church, Anadarko, OK.

Wake Service: 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2024, JJ Methvin United Methodist Church, Anadarko, OK

Interment: Cache Creek Cemetery, Apache, OK Under the direction of Ray and Martha's Home, Anadarko, OK
