Lawton, Oklahoma February 2016 July 20, 1954 ~ February 5, 2016 Raymond Lee Paddyaker, 61, went home to his heavenly father on Friday, February 5, 2016, with his loving family by his side. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016, at Petarsy Methodist Church Richards Spur with Lay Speaker Tina Baker and Bonita Paddyaker officiating. Burial will be at West Cache Creek KCA Cemetery under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Wake service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Petarsy Methodist Church. Raymond was born July 20, 1954, in Lawton to Benton Paddyaker Jr. and Peggy Keitharoco. Raymond attended school at Chilocco Indian School and Fort Sill Indian School. He enjoyed finishing concrete when he could and going to the casino. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well. He was employed by Eric Logan Construction. He is survived by his wife, Vila Jean "Lulu" Tate Paddyaker, of the home; a granddaughter whom he raised, Christa Tointigh of the home; two daughters: Toya Harragarra of Red Rock, and Tonya Paddyaker, Denver; a son, Raymond Lindsey Paddyaker Sr., Oklahoma City; a stepdaughter, Angela Marie Paddlety, Lawton; a stepson, Christopher Paddlety, Anadarko; 10 other grandchildren: Anaya Ann Paddyaker, Leah Jade Paddyaker, Raymond Lindsey Paddyaker Jr., Rylee Justine Paddyaker, Payton Denise Bearbow, Louis Roy Harragarra, Rayla Lee Harragarra, Cecilia Winona Chavez, Cynthia Hunter and Chaz Stecker Paddlety; an uncle, Carl Paddyaker; an aunt, Bonita Paddyaker; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Peggy Keitharoco; father, Benton Paddyaker Jr.; brothers: Bill and Harold "Buffalo" Paddyaker; both maternal grandparents; and a grandson, Joshua Goombi. Apache, Oklahoma December 2020 Vila Jean "Lulu" Tate Tooahimpah Paddyaker went to her heavenly home on Sunday December 1, 2019 in Oklahoma City with her loving family by her side. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the Comanche Community Center in Apache with Edmond Nevaquaya and James Goombi officiating. Burial will follow at West Cache Creek KCA under the direction of the Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Wake service will be 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Comanche Community Center in Apache. Lulu was born October 14, 1948 in Lawton, OK to James and Viola [Atewooftakewa] Tate Tooahimpah. When she was born her mother couldn’t think of a name so Aurilla Craig named her Vila Jean. She attended Apache High School. Lulu was a proud full blooded Comanche woman. She was the great granddaughter of Chief Wild Horse, the last hereditary chief of the Comanches. She was also a direct decedent of Yellowfish [Atewooftakewa]. She enjoyed sewing, coloring, hand games, watching movies, all things Pioneer Woman, and taking care of her dogs. She is survived by: granddaughter Christa Cook and husband Bryce, of the home; children: Angela Paddlety of the home and Christopher Paddlety and wife Jamie of Anadarko; sisters: Julia "Judy" Goombi, Carol Atewooftakewa Wermy, Amanda Sue Bordeaux, Sonya Nevaquaya, Jereaux Sanders, Joyce Harris, Kay Weryackwe Flores, Laura Heminokeky, and Melva Camacho; brothers Edmond Nevaquaya, Timothy Nevaquaya, Calvert Nevaquaya, and Joseph Nevaquaya; grandchildren: Cynthia Hunter, Nicholas Onco, James Paddlety, Chaz Paddlety; great grandchildren: Kynslie, Andrei, Jayvien, Gwendolyn, and Jaysten. She is proceeded in death by: parents: James Tate Tooahimpah and Viola Atewooftakewa; 1st husband Ernest Stecker Paddlety; husband Raymond Paddyaker; grandson: Joshua Goombi; brothers: Frankie Lee “Pinky” Tate Tooahimpah, James “Toopsie” Tate Tooahimpah Jr., Dennis Frank “Essie” Tate Tooahimpah, Billy Parker and Lean Sonny Nevaquaya.” |
