Apache, Oklahoma July 2019 February 1, 1945 ~ July 2019 Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday July 26, 2019 at the Comanche Nation Funeral Home Chapel with Dusty Miller officiating. Burial will be at West Cache Creek KCA west of Apache under the direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Prayer Service will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday July 25, 2019 at Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Glenda was born February 1, 1945 to Wilson and Ethel [Eikeahpihoodle] Pewo. She graduated from Apache High School. Glenda went to college in Dallas and became an R. N. She worked at various hospitals in the Dallas area. Glenda also managed various apartments in Dallas. She married Mario Mendez in Dallas, Texas. They made their home in Dallas for many years. They returned to Lawton in 1997. Glenda was a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma. Glenda is survived by: her husband Mario Mendez of the home; daughter Lenette Parker of San Antonio, Texas; brother Donald Pewo of Anadarko; nine grandchildren: Robin, Daniel, Jalaine, Travis, Michelle, Emma, John, Andrew and Katelen; and 16 great grandchildren. She is Preceded in death by: her parents: Wilson and Ethel Pewo; 2 daughters, Leann Parker Smith, Leslie Hernandez; twin baby girls; great grandson Jaxon Aitson; 4 brothers: Calvin Pewo, Vernon Pewo Sr., Milton Pewo Sr., Dennis Pewo; 3 sisters: Roberta Toehay, Madeline Soontay and Ravina: son in law, Don Smith. |
