Apache, Oklahoma March 1973 July 2, 1887 ~ March 1973 Apache: Funeral for Stewart Klinekole, 85, will be at 2 pm Friday at the Mulkahay Methodist Church, Boone. Burial has been set for Cache Creek Indian Cemetery under the directin of Crews Funeral Home of Apache. Mr Klinekole died about 3:30 pm Tuesday in a Lawton hospital. He was born in the Apache area in 1887. He was married to Kate Dorabelle Achilta in the pl;d Presbyterian Mission west of Apache. She died in 1985. Mr Klinekole lived in the Apache-Boone area all his life and was a member of the Reforned Presbyterian Church. Survivors include. two sons, Houston Klinekole, Apache, and William Klinekole, Midwest City, a daughter, Aurelia Lookingglass, Apache; a sister, Bertha Kudlekule, Anadarko; 18 grandchildren ans 29 great grandchildren. |
Chickasha, Oklahoma February 2015 April 13, 1927 ~ February 26, 2015 ANADARKO: Katherine"Kat" Kopaddy Klinekole, 87, of Anadarko, went to her heavenly home Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, in Chickasha, with her family by her side. Funeral will be at noon Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at United Methodist Church of Apache with Lay Person Tina Baker officiating. Burial will follow at West Cache Creek Cemetery under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 6 p.m. Monday March 2, 2015, at United Methodist Church of Apache. Katherine was born April 13, 1927, in Fletcher to Old Man and Ella Connywerdy Kopaddy. She attended school in Apache and graduated from Riverside Indian School. Kat was a full-blood member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma, and member of the Native American Church, Apache Blackfeet Society and a Wahnee descendant. She enjoyed attending powwows, sewing, quilting, crocheting and watching the Oklahoma City Thunder, OU and OSU football. Kat liked playing hand games, singing, making fry bread and spending time with her family and friends. Katherine is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law: Lana Palmer and Tobias Robles, Donna and Thomas Freeland, Kathleen Littlebird and Billie Ruth Bryant: two sons: Walley Klinekole and William Klinekole Jr.; a brother, Woodrow Kopaddy; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Klinekole Sr.; parents: Kopaddy and Ella Conneywerdy; three daughters: Emmaline Tebe, Charlotte Klinekole-Davis and Sharon Silago; granddaughter, Lana Gayle Wilson; six sisters: Beatrice Saupitty, Mae Cable, Virginia Saupitty, June Kopaddy-Wermy, Sally Kopaddy and Maude Eva Kopaddy; and four brothers: Clifford Kopaddy, Decker Kopaddy, Sammy Kopaddy and Roland Kopaddy. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015, at the funeral home and from 2-5 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015, at the church. |
Carnegie, Oklahoma December 1999 February 13, 1933 ~ December 3, 1999 Services were held 06-Dec-1999 at the Apache Reformed Church for Violet Klinekole who died 03-Dec-1999 at Carnegie, Caddo co., Ok. Prayer services wee held 05-Dec-1999. Burial was in the Cache Creek Indian Cemetery, located west of Apache, Caddo co., Ok., under the directions of the Crews Funeral Home of Apache. Klinekole was born 13-Feb-1933 at Carnegie. She lived in the Apache area all her life and was a member of the Presbyterian Church and of the Apache Tribe. Apache, Oklahoma August 2020 August 12, 1957 ~ August 25, 2020 Austin Klinekole Sr came to this earth on August 12, 1957 to Houston Eustace Klinekole Sr and Virginia Jay. He was born in Hawthorne, California. He departed this world and entered into his heavenly home on August 25, 2020. Austin grew up in Boone, Oklahoma. He graduated 8th grade from Boone Public School and attended and graduated high school from Apache High School. He was a very talented athlete. He attended USAO where he served an Indian Club President. Following a career in car sales, he started his final job in Occupation & Tribal gaming. He began working for the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma then moved to the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. He stayed loyal to the Kiowa Tribe and the Kiowa's took extremely good care of Austin as a very valuable employee. Austin met the love of his life, Kelley Elizabeth Parton in 1978. They began the start of a beautiful family. Their first child was born in 1979, Austin Lewis Klinekole. They tied the knot behind Boone School in 1983. They had their second child, Kelley Marie Klinekole in 1984 followed by their third child, Carrie Makah Klinekole in 1993. The Klinekole family joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints in 1990. He served as a fulfilled boy scout leader to the youth and was a powerful priesthood holder. He was also a proud Headsman for the Apache Blackfeet Society. Austin is preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Scales & Mary Ruth Galindo, his parents: Houston E. Klinekole Sr, & Virginia Jay and his brother, Houston E. Klinekole Jr. Austin is survived by his wife, Kelley of the home; children: Austin Klinekole and his wife, KC and their daughter, Addison of Sallisaw; Kelley M. Klinekole of Boone and her children, Mihane, Trim, Luan & Flutura and their father, Labinot Hoxha of Chickasha; Carrie Klinekole of Anadarko and her children, Demani, Lakota and Kyrie Douville of Boone; sisters: Carol Wildes and Onita Littleson plus many more adopted children, friends and family. Austin was a remarkable man that many respected and admired. He has and will always be a hero in our eyes. Families Together Forever. Prayer service will be from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Anadarko. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints in Anadarko.
