Apache, Oklahoma July 5, 2022 August 2, 1945 ~ July 5, 2022 Inola F. Killsfirst, 77 years old, Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Friend - Child of God, passed away on July 5, 2022 at her home in Apache, OK. She was born on August 2, 1945 in Apache to David Starr Sr. and Rosie Zotigh-Hall. She was an enrolled member of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma. Inola was raised in Boone, OK and spent some time with family out west at Kems Canyon, AZ. She attended and graduated from Boone Elementary School and Apache High School. She was a homemaker for most of her life but did work at the Cyril Nursing home and Cyril dining facility, in addition to many years as a cook at Boone Elementary. She raised her family and several grandchildren and great grandkids. She loved listening to her oldie's music and spending time with family and friends. She loved listening to her Kiowa hymns and gospel music. Inola always had a positive attitude and a good-hearted spirt with whomever she met. While at Boone she met the love of her life, Phillip-Lumpy-Killsfirst, and would later marry him and spent her entire life raising their family. She was raised knowing God and passed along her teachings to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Rosie Starr; sister, Joy Faye Blackwolf; brothers: Rev. Henry Leon Redbone Sr., Rev. David Starr Jr., Thomas Gene Starr Sr.; son, Steven Roy Killsfirst; niece, Mary "Tiny" Alice Lomakema; and great grandson, Micah Payne Jr. Inola is survived by her husband, Phillip Killsfirst Sr. of the home; daughter, Tina Schartzer of Apache; daughter, Karen Killsfirst of Apache; son, Phillip Killsfirst Jr. and Wendy of Boone; son, Kristopher Killsfirst Sr. and wife Christa of Lawton, OK; son, Kam Killsfirst of Albuquerque, NM; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Alice Faye Monetathchi of Stony Point; sister-in-law, Tessie Starr of Carnegie; brother, Harry Noble Starr Sr. of Carnegie; and sister, Nellie Fletcher of Boone. Wake Service: 7:00pm – 9:00pm Monday, July 11,2022 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Apache. Funeral: 2:00pm Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Apache, followed by graveside at the KCA Cache Creek Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Micah Payne, Ty Killsfirst, Kam Killsfirst, Phillip Killsfirst "PJ}, Julian Killsfirst, Isiah Killsfirst, Harry Starr Jr., David Lomavaya, and Orion Schartzer. Honorary pallbearers are: Kristopher Killsfirst Jr., Steven Killsfirst, and Steven Dale Sinquah. |
