She was born on February 29, 1972, a leap year baby, to Janice Sue Kadayso. She grew up in Anadarko, Oklahoma and graduated from Anadarko High School. She lived most of her life in Southwest Oklahoma. She was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma.
