San Antonio, Texas October 2013 July 11, 1944 ~ October 19, 2013 SAN ANTONIO: Funeral for former Cache resident Sandra Marie Davis, 69, San Antonio, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Comanche Nation Funeral Home with Lay Speaker Tina Baker officiating. Sandra went to her heavenly home Saturday, October 19, 2013, in San Antonio. Burial will follow at West Cache Creek Cemetery, west of Apache, under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Sandra was born in Lawton on July 11, 1944, to Lilly Yokesuite. She attended Fort Sill Indian School. Sandra married Robert Davis and they made their home in Elgin, S.C. She moved to Cache in the early '90s. Sandra is a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma. Sandra read her Bible faithfully every day. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loved to socialize at the casino. She is survived by: two daughters: Karen Davis Wells, of San Antonio; and Teresa Bright, of Lawton; sisters: Janelle Mowatt, of Cache; Louella Lumbert, and Winfred Sovo, both of Lawton; and Brenda Ashington, of California; two brothers: Sammy Kopaddy, of Cache; and Carlton Kopaddy, of Cordell; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by: husband, Robert Davis; parents: Lilly Yokesuite; sister, Lillian Simmons and brother Donny Yokesuite; a niece and a great nephew. |
Sterling, Oklahoma September 2012 February 11, 1955 ~ September 7, 2012 STERLING: Funeral for Charlotte Klinekole Davis, 57, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church of Apache. She departed this life on Friday, September 7, 2012. Burial will follow at Cache Creek [KCA] Cemetery West of Apache. Charlotte was born on February 11, 1955, to William Buntin Klinekole Sr. and Katherine "Kat" Kopaddy in Lawton. Charlotte grew up in Midwest City and graduated from Midwest City High School in 1973. She was the princess of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma in 1972. Charlotte retired from Southwestern Bell after 29 years of working as a directory assistance operator. She enjoyed going to powwows and loved singing Apache Blackfeet, Gourd Dance, "49" songs and just plain singing because she was "good at it." She loved eating hot pickles and reading her books; going to the "C," which was code for the casino; and being with her children, especially her "boys" her grandkids. She was very proud of her "boys" for continuing on traditions. Charlotte had beautiful eyes and a beautiful smile that will be remembered by all that knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Davis and Eric Valdez of Oklahoma City, a son, Beau Wesley Davis and Kara Mithlo of Sterling, her mother, Katherine "Kat" Kopaddy Klinekole; four sisters: Kathleen "Tot" Littlebird of Oklahoma City, Donna Mae Freeland and Tom of Yukon, Billie Ruth Bryant of Oklahoma City; and Lana Klinekole Palmer of Anadarko; two brothers: William Buntin Klinekole Jr. and Wally Byron Klinekole, both of Anadarko; an uncle, Woodrow Woody Kopaddy of Oklahoma City, a special sister; Lisa Longhat of Fletcher; four grandchildren: Jason Lujan Jr., Joaquin Valdez, Beau Michael Davis, Wesley Kole Davis; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, William Buntin Klinekole Sr.; her grandparents: Stewart and Dora Belle Kate Archilta Klinekole and Kopaddy and Ella Connywerdy Wahnee; and two sisters: Sharon Klinekole Silago and Emmaline Klinkole Tebe. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church of Apache. |
