Mamie Boyiddle, His mom, was left in suspense for the next 41 years and died without knowing if he lived or not. Silas had two brothers, William and Hicks, who saw the 52 year old mystery end over the weekend when our government gsve them an undated two page report that told of their brother’s capture and death from malnutrition. |
Anadarko, Oklahoma June 2018 March 3, 1945 ~ June 15, 2018 William "Dink" Boyiddle Sr. was born to Mamie Kadayso, a gold star mother and Jimmy Boyiddle on March 16, 1945 in Boone, Oklahoma. Dink went to his heavenly home on June 15, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was an avid OU fan who attended and traveled to many games with his brother Ralph Poolaw. He was also an Anadarko Warrior fan. Dink enjoyed watching his grandsons play sports and was very proud of them. His pride and joy are William III and Jasmine Rose Boyiddle. He worked at Consortium against substance abuse. He was a member of Indian Capital Baptist Church. He was a proud member of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma and of Kiowa decent. He was a United States Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Betsy Boyiddle; 8 brothers, Silas, Donny Mitchell, Raphael, Stanley, Eddie, Gary, Herbert, Hicks Boyiddle and 1 son, Bobby Kaulaity. He is survived by his children, a daughter Kelli, and son William "Dexter" of the home. Sons, Ed, Jerry, and Ron Boyiddle of Anadarko; daughters Leigh Ann and Robin Kaulaity of Anadarko. Grandchildren, William III, Jasmine, Leonarda, Talena, Mervin Boyiddle of Montana; Brittani, Bruce, Matt, Cody, Dillon Kaulaity; Kevin Jr., Dakota, Andrea Botone; Tamara, Tosha, Keith, Kyle and several great grandchildren and the love of his life, Beryl Whitehorse of the home. 1 Brother, Raymond "Skillet" Tselee of Anadarko and 1 sister, Vivian Komardley of Apache, and a host of nieces & nephews, relatives and friends. Anadarko, Oklahoma January 2013 October 7, 1946 ~ January 12, 2013 ANADARKO Funeral for Hicks Boyiddle II, 66, Anadarko, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Comanche Community Center, Apache, with Pastor Milton Otis officiating. Mr. Boyiddle went to his heavenly home Saturday, January 12, 2013. Burial with full military honors will follow at KCA Cemetery, Boone, under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Wake service will be from 6 to midnight Thursday at the Comanche Community Center with Pastor Sonny Ware officiating. Hicks was born October 7, 1946, to Jimmy F. Boyiddle and Mamie White Kadayso in Boone. He grew up in the Boone-Apache area and attended Boone-Apache Schools. He was a member of the Apache Tribe and worked there many years before retiring. Hicks also worked with Donnie Laferr for many years. He enjoyed working in the ministry, oldies dances, sports, and being around his grandchildren. Hicks was known for his singing and love for the Lord. He was a member of the Washita Full Gospel Church, where he served as a deacon. Hicks served in the United States Army from April 1965 to October 1969, a total of 43 months, earning the rank of specialist four. He took his Basic Combat Training and advanced Individual training, as a Personnel Specialist, at Fort Polk, La.. He was then assigned, from August 1965 to May, 1966, to the 708th Maintencance Battalion of the 8th Infantry Division at Baumholder, Germany. Sp4 Boyiddle volunteered for service in Vietnam and arrived in June 1966 at Ton-son-Nhut. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 20th Artilley [Aerial Rocket Artillery] of the 1st Gunner for the Division [Airmobile] based at An Khe. His duties included Ammo Handler and Door Gunner for the Division's Huey helicopter fleet. The 2/20th became known as "Blue Max" and supported ground troops by inserting and withdrawing them into and from hostile enemy terrority, made landing zone preparation, provided counter-fire against hostile enemy positions and conducted medical evacuation of wounded soldiers. Numerous missions were under intense hostile enemy fire. Sp4 Boyiddle returned home in February 1968 and was stationed at Fort Sill. He spent a total of 20 months in Vietnam. Sp4 Boyiddle fought in four campaings: Counteroffensive, Counteroffensive Phases II and III and the Tet Counteroffensive. His awards included the Army Commendation Medal, the Air Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with/4 Battle Stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960 Device, the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, the Aircrew Badge and Marksman Qualification Badge with Rifle and M60 Machine Gun Bars. Hicks was a current member of the Comanche Indian Veterans Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Southwest Vietnam Veterans, where he was the current chaplain. He was united in marriage to Ruthie Annette Toehay Otis on October 17, 1987, and to this union was born two sons. He is survived by his wife of the home, one daughter, Verna LaRue and husband Martin Quiterio; three sons: Garrick Boyiddle and his wife Ladonna, and Jimmy Boyiddle, of Anadarko; and Edson Hicks Boyiddle and wife Anna Shanta, of Mescalero, N.M.; two brothers: William Boyiddle Sr. and Raymond Tselee, of Anadarko; three special sisters: Joyce Vinyard, Marcia Davilla and Shirley Davilla, of Anadarko; two adopted children: Kevin Geimausaddle, of Lawton; and Nadalee Sanders, of Anadarko; two special nieces: Kelly Boyiddle, of Anadarko; and Gabi Morris, of Stroud; 11 grandchildren: Torrey and Quintana Goombi, Sy Boyiddle and Haven Vasquez, all of Anadarko; Macey, Junior, Kashmire, Zale-Bay, and Danica, of Mescalero, N.M.; and Brandolynn and Dillynn Boyiddle, of Anadarko; five great-grandchildren: Quinsyn and Alexander Goombi, Bryslyn, Braydyn "Little Hicks," Brayslyn Boyiddle, of Anadarko; one adopted grandaughter, Samantha Wells; many cousins, nieces, nephews, loving friends, and golden oldies dance partners. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his father, Jimmy F. Boyiddle; his mother, Mamie White Kadayso; his twin brother, Eddie; and six other brothers: Silas, Robert, Stanley, Donnie, Herbert and Gary Boyiddle; one sister, Verna Boyiddle; and one granddaughter, Ella LaRue. Hicks touched the lives of many in the Anadarko and surrounding areas. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The first accident happened in Caddo County on US 62, southeast of Anadarko. Troopers say 66-year Hicks Boyiddle II of Anadarko suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel when he ran off the road. They say he hit a ditch and fence before coming to a stop in a field. Boyiddle was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger was taken to Comanche county memorial in fair condition |
Anadarko, Oklahoma June 2000 March 26, 1949 ~ June 27, 2000 Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, 01-Jul-2000 at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Anadarko for Herbert Boyiddle, 51, of Anadarko who died Tuesday, 27-Jun-2000 in Anadarko. Officiating was Amon Harjo, Steve Chibitty and Duke Tsoodle, Jr. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Friday, 30-Jun-2000 at the Smith Funeral Chapel. Burial was in the Cache Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Chapel. Boyiddle was born 26-Mar-1949 to Jimmy and Mamie [Kadayso] Boyiddle in Lawton, Comanche county, Ok. He had been a resident of Caddo county most of his life. He was retired from Golden Peanut and was a member of the Little Stecker Church. Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Vera Boyiddle, and six brothers, Silas, Raphal, Stanley, Donnie, Eddie and Boyiddle. Survivors include two brothers and numerous nephews and nieces. |
Anadarko, Oklahoma November 2020 April 8, 1964 ~ November 11, 2020 Ronald Lynn "Bigboy" Boyiddle, 56, of Anadarko, OK was born April 8, 1964 in Lawton, OK to William Boyiddle and Carol Bert. He passed away Nov. 11, 2020 at his home with family by his side. Ronald graduated from Anadarko High School, and attended the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, OK. He was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. Ronald was employed as a nurse's aide at the Galilean Center in Anadarko, OK and as a factory worker at Maremount in Chickasha, OK. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing guitar and going to heavy metal concerts. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. Ronald is survived by his mother, Carol Bert, Anadarko, OK, Three brothers: Jerry Boyiddle, Anadarko, OK, Mitch Boyiddle,, Anadarko, OK, Adrian Smith and wife Melissa, Anadarko, OK, Sister: Adrienne Johnson and husband Jeremie, Pittsburgh, PA, Nephew and "best buddy," Carson Allen Smith of the home, Nephews: Brandon "Bubba" Johnson and Braiden "Bray" Johnson, Pittsburgh, PA, Nieces: Maycie Johnson, Morgen Johnson and LaDavien Johnson, Pittsburg, PA.
