Lawton, Oklahoma July 2012 August 5, 1932 ~ July 28, 2012 APACHE Funeral for Richard Arguelles Banderas, 79, Apache, will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Apache Reformed Church in Apache, with Pastor Santiago Ponce Leon officiating. Richard went to meet his Lord Saturday, July 28, 2012, in Lawton. Burial will be at Cache Creek KCA Cemetery, Apache. Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Comanche Nation Funeral Home Chapel. He was born to Francisco and Henrietta Arguelles Banderas on August 5, 1932, in Oxnard, Calif. He married Martha Tsatahsisko Archilta on Oct. 30, 1954. Richard enjoyed eating ice cream and cake and watching and listening to Mexican movies and old comics. He was all he could be for the U.S. Army. Richard was a member of Mulkehey Church in Boone. He worked for the City of Lawton Landfill Department for many years. He is survived by seven generations: daughters: Danita Lyn Banderas Washa, of Boone; Felepia Marie Banderas, of Apache; and Tania Sue Banderas, and Terri Dawn Banderas, both of Anadarko; his sons: Richard Martin Banderas, of Anadarko; Freddy Lee Banderas Sr., of Lawton; Russell Wayne Banderas, of Apache; and Ricky Alan Banderas, of Lawton; his adopted sons: Dennis L. Hernandez, of Sterling; Donald Gleason, of Dallas; and Chris Case, of Goodrich, Tenn.; one adopted daughter, Carolyn Marie Williams Hixon, his nino, 97 years-old, Tia Antonia Diellilio, 84 years-old, Tio Marcello Arguelles; sisters: Pearl Cardenas, Mona Martinez, and Mary Barron; his brothers: Tony Jaramillo, Freddy Jaramillo, Victor Jaramillo, and Manuel Jaramillo; 39 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; godmother Concha; special cousins: Donald Arguelles and Fabien Diellilo; special nephew, Jimmy Vincent Martinez; sister in-law, Sandra Stewart; family members in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, and Kansas: the Arguelles, Cortez, Jaramillo and Martinez; many nieces and nephews; and one special friend, Guero Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Tsatahsisko; daughter, Victoria June Banderas; sons: Danny Len Banderas and Sandy Len Banderas; parents; grandfather, Antonio Flores Arguelles; grandmother, Dolores Castaneda Rodrigues; brother, John Paul Cortez; granddaughter, Alice Jean Banderas; grandson, Christopher James Banderas; Daryl Keith "DJ" Simmons Jr., and Dallas Reyna; mother in-law, Julia Mulkehay; father in-law, Freddie Tsatahsisko; nieces: Melissa Jaramillo, Natalene Pace and Julie Marroquin; nephews: Rocco Pace Jr., Lewis Wayne Reyna, Nathan Pace, and Larry Dale Stewart; in-laws, Mary and Rocco Pace Sr. and Imogene and Reno Emilio Reyna. Lawton, Oklahoma May 2022 January 8, 1955 ~ May 16, 2022 Richard Martin Banderas, 67, passed away on May 16, 2022 in Lawton, OK. He was born on January 8, 1955 in Lawton, OK to Richard A. Chico Banderas and Martha Archilta Banderas. Richard attended school in Boone OK. He served in the United States Army from August 23, 1971 to August 22, 1975 receiving the rank of Specialist 4. Richard was assigned to the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell, Kentucky while there he was Squad Leader. He also served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard from 1975 until 1977 with the 45th Infantry based in Anadarko, Ok. Richard was an active member of the KCA Veterans Organization, Apache Native American Church, Apache Native Warriors Society and Apache Blackfeet Society. He worked with construction, building concrete, and was the Warehouse Manager for the Housing Authority of The Apache Tribe from April 5, 2013 until present. Richard enjoyed his job, respected and loved his coworkers. In November 6, 1972, Richard married Mary Imotichey in Boone, OK and through their union 2 sons and 3 daughters were born. He later married Lesley Youngblood in Boone, OK on June 15, 2013. Through this union he gained 3 sons. Richard loved family gatherings, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a loving, giving man whom couldn't turned down someone asking for help. Apache, Oklahoma July 2010 1991 ~ July 4, 2010 MULDROW Funeral for Christopher James Banderas, 19, Muldrow, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Comanche Community Center in Apache with Pastor Santiago" Ponce" Leon officiating. Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Comanche Nation Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Banderas went to his heavenly home Sunday, July 4, 2010, near Cookson. Burial will follow at Cache Creek KCA Cemetery, west of Apache. Christopher was born in Fort Smith, Ark., to Sandy Banderas and Monica Ware. Christopher spent his younger years in Apache, where his family made their home until five years ago when they moved to Muldrow. Christopher graduated from Muldrow High School in May of 2010. He was a member of the Muldrow football team for four years. He received All-District in football and had the honor of playing in the Eufala and Green County All-Star games in May of 2010. He was chosen to play football for the Australia Down-under games. Christopher was also a member of the Bulldog track team for four years, running mile relay, 800 meter run, and the mile run. He was also honored by being chosen as a "Senior Superlative" in the Mr. and Miss MHS Program in 2009. Christopher loved spending time with his friends, being on the computer, and playing with his niece, Kaity, and nephew, Talen. He lived his life to the fullest. His smile will never be forgotten, his presence will always be with us, and we will never forget you, Christopher. Your memories are forever in our hearts. Christopher is survived by his mother, Monica Ware and his stepdad, Marvin Ridnour; a brother, Army Specialist Austin Ware; two sisters: Latisha Banderas and Danielle Ware; stepsister, Maranda Ridnour, of Marlow; a nephew, Talen, and niece, Kaitlyn, both of the home; grandparents: Richard A. Banderas, Cora Mithlo, Dora Pewo, Alisha and Randy Mammedaty, LaQuinita Harmon, and Sandra Marroquin, all of Apache; and Erwin Ware Jr., of Beggs; and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Sandy Banderas; uncles: Cpl.
