Esther Jean "Carol" [Parker] Aitson
April 3, 1931 ~ December 18, 2016


APACHE: Funeral for Carol Aitson, longtime Apache resident, will be at noon Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Comanche Community Center, Apache, with J.T. Goombi officiating. Mrs. Aitson passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016, at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 85.

Burial will be in Cache Creek Cemetery, west of Apache, under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.

Wake service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Comanche Community Center of Apache.

Esther Jean "Carol" Parker Aitson was born April 3, 1931, in Apache, to Joe Bointy and Esther Parker.

She grew up in Apache, attended school at Fort Sill Indian School, and earned her G.E.D.

She met and married LaVerne Aitson Sr. and they made their home in Apache.

She was a cook, waitress and a teacher's aide. She enjoyed making fry bread, was an avid OU Sooner, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Dallas Cowboy fan; she also enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by; three daughters: Clarice Gonzalez of Lawton; Elsie and John Hearrell of Coalgate; and Theresa Hyde of Apache, five sons: Joseph and Cindy Aitson of Lawton; Larry Aitson of Elgin; Laverne Jr. and Bonnie Aitson; Krandall and Tina Kahrahrah of Apache; and David Aitson of Oklahoma City; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Aitson of Lawton; brothers: Roderick Parker and Leland Parker; sisters: Gina Longhat and Lisa and Kenneth Lookingglass all of Apache; 24 grandchildren: Kyla Jo Aitson, Robbie Aitson, Candice Aitson, Kevin Aitson, Deidra Aitson, Justin Aitson, Carrington Johnson, Jeremy Aitson, Gabriel Aitson, Jarrod Aitson, Angelina Kahrahrah, Katelyn Kahrahrah, Chad Hearrell, Jessica Hearrell, Mahinaya Hyde, Olivia Hyde, Jerri Hyde, Eric Hyde, Joseph Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez, Alana Gonzalez, Alyssa Gonzalez, and Shauna Haxton, 38 great-grandkids: Makenna Aitson, DeKayla Pewo, Thomas Cable, Eliana Gonzalez, Anthony Gonzalez, Alexander Gonzalez, Amaya Gonzalez, Nikki Grigg, Stephen Hearrell, Lisa Arter, Tito Lindsey, Ronnie Arter, Brooke Davis, Trevor Davis, Austin Davis, Anthony Wicker, Ashley Aitson, William Tanner Aitson, Tieyah Wilhoite, Aliyah Aitson, Patricia Aitson, Dezmon Aitson, Destiny Aitson Tawkoyty, R.J. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters: Elyse Hearrell and Danielle Aitson; two sons: Meech Aitson and Gerald Aitson; one aunt, Louise Poafpybitty; three granddaughters: Vicki Hearrell, Shanelle Aitson and April Aitson; stepdaughter, Diane Aitson; brothers: Bill, Larry "Icey" Lester "Tinker," and Travis "Beaver" Parker; sisters: Eleanor "Paigie" Tate and Theresa Poolaw; and special nephew, Francis John Longhat.

Deloris Ann [Sapcut] Aitson
November 17, 1935 ~ November 29, 2020


Deloris Ann Sapcut Aitson celebrated 85 wonderful years of life before gaining her wings on November 29, 2020 with her loving family by her side. She was born November 17, 1935 at the Lawton Indian Hospital in Lawton to George and Dorothy [Tommy] Sapcut Sr. She was a proud full blood member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma.

Deloris was an accomplished bead worker, loved attending pow wows, dancing, traveling and going to the casino. She loved all her family and loved spending time with them especially her grandchildren. Teaching her grandchildren traditional Comanche culture.

Survived by children: Georgetta Carpitcher and Jesse of Oklahoma City; Michael Pocowatchit, Joseph Aitson Jr., Roy Aitson and Violet Aitson, Dana Aitson Brown and Kevin all of Lawton. Grandchildren: Bertrand Jr., Dale, Jamie, Tonia, James Bradley, Wilbur Mikey, Vincent, Whitney, Marcel, Joseph III, Emmitt, Dakota James and Ashleigh DeAnn; five sisters: Aurelia Craig, Beverly Isaac, Yonevea Sapcut all of Apache, Rita Sapcut of Fletcher, Georgia Sapcut of Richards Spur; 27 great-grandchildren and five great great-Grandchildren; special friend Myers Wahnee and her beloved dog Jim Mithlo, grand pup Big Boy.

Preceded by parents George Sapcut Sr. and Dorothy Tommie Sapcut, husband Joseph Aitson Sr., brothers Virgil, Tommie, Merdieth ”Butch”, Wilbur, Junior and daughter Mary Waysepappy, Grandson George Sapcut Waysepappy and Great Granddaughter Tomasina Carpitcher.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Thursday December 3, 2020 at West Cache Creek KCA Cemetery west of Apache with J.T. Goombi officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until 4p.m. at the funeral home.

Masks must be worn and social distancing protocols will be in effect.

Meech Aitson
March 12, 1961 ~ September 11, 2015


Meech was born in Lawton, on March 12, 1961 to Laverne Aitson, Sr. & Carol Parker Aitson. He passed from this life on Friday, September 11, 2015 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

He graduated from Apache High School in 1980 where he was active in all sports, being nominated High School Football all Area Wide Receiver and Player of the Year.

During his lifetime, Meech worked at The Fort Sill Apache Youth Shelter, Riverside Indian School and Comanche Nation Funeral Home where he was instrumental in the initial start up and operation of the first Native American Funeral Home in the nation, an accomplishment of which he was very proud, serving his Native American people.

At the time of his death, he was employed at the Comanche Nation Transit where he was a Dispatcher/Transit Driver. He loved going to work each day driving and visiting with his passengers. He never met a stranger.

Meech was an avid lifetime OU Football fan, looking forward to each game day during the season and was also an avid Washington Redskins fan and loved to brag to all the Cowboy fans when his team played and beat them.

He was an excellent pool player and he played in the Tuesday Coors Light League and Thursday Scotch Doubles League, and was the captain of both his Tuesday and Thursday teams. He made many lasting friendships playing pool.

He married Bobbie Baken, the love of his life, on April 3, 2009 in Lawton, and they made their home there.

His greatest joy in life were his children and his grandchildren and he also had many other adopted children that he loved as his own. Meech always had a hug and a kiss or handshake for everyone he knew, no matter where he was.

Meech is survived by his wife Bobbie of the home, sons Robert, Anadarko, Kevin & Justin, both of Lawton, daughters, Candice & Deidra both of Lawton, Carrington, Elgin, mother Carol Apache, brothers Joseph, Lawton, Larry, Elgin, Laverne Jr, Apache, Krandall, Apache, David, Oklahoma City, sisters, Clarice, Elgin, Elsie, Coalgate, Theresa, Apache. Aunts Lisa and Gina both of Apache, Uncles Roderick, Leland and Travis [Beaver] all of Apache. 20 grandchildren Anthony, Aliyah, Mariah, Ashley, William, Patricia, Tieyah, Dezmon, Destiny, Keelyn, Tasia, Jashon, Naima, Julian, Christian, Kennady, Nicholas, Scarlett Elaine [on the way], Nicholas, Jennika and James and one great grandson, Brayden. Special mom Mattie Soontay, Apache, special dad Bob Tenequer, Lawton, special brother Mark Johnson, Chickasha. He was proceeded in death by his daughter April, grandmother Esther Parker, brother Gerald, sisters Elyse, Diana and Danielle, nieces Vickie & Shanell, uncles Lester, Bill and Larry Parker, aunts Eleanor [Pagie] and Theresa, father Laverne Sr. A prayer service will be Tuesday September 15th 2012 in Apache at the Comanche Community Center from 7:00 PM til 9:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday September 16th 2019 at 11:00 AM in Apache at the Comanche Community Center with J.T. Goombi Officiating with burial to follow in the Cache Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home

April Elaine Aitson, 28, was born on April 20, 1987 to Sharon Redbone and Meech Aitson in Lawton, OK. She went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2015 in Oklahoma City with her family by her side.

April attended school in Fort Cobb and Anadarko where she was active in soccer and basketball. She finished her high school education in Lawton where she graduated from MacArthur High School in 2005. She was also a member of JROTC at MacArthur.

April furthered her education attending Aladdin Beauty College in Lawton. After she completed the course she obtained her cosmetology license. She worked at several different salons, including Mastercuts, Smart Styles and Supercuts throughout her career. April enjoyed her career as a stylist and had great passion for what she did and loved her customers. Her other hobbies included basketball, OU football and taking care of her family, especially her nieces and nephew. April was also a proud member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma.

She is survived by: Parents: Meech and Bobbie Aitson of the home in Lawton, OK 2 sisters: Candice Aitson, Lawton, OK and Deidra Haumpy, Lawton, OK 3 brothers: Kevin Aitson, Lawton, OK, Justin Aitson, Lawton, OK and Robbie Aitson, Anadarko, OK Maternal grandparents; Donnie and Pat Redbone of Apache, OK, Paternal grandparents: Carol Aitson, Apache, OK, 8 nieces; Ashley, Tricia, Tieyah, Destiny, Aliyah, Mariah, Naima and Kennady, 4 nephews; Anthony,Tanner, Dezmon and Keelyn Tawkoyty One special grandson Brayden Cottier, Many other relatives, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

APACHE? Funeral for Gabriel Amber Aitson, 28, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Comanche Community Center in Apache, with Pastor Linda Lusnia and J.T. Goombi officiating.

Mrs. Aitson went to her heavenly home Thursday, Decembet 29, 2016, in Wichita Falls, Texas, with her loving family by her side.

Burial will be in Cache Creek Cemtery, west of Apache, under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.

Wake will be 7 p.m. today, at the Comanche Community Center in Apache. Gabriel was born September 16, 1988, in Lawton to LaVerne Aitson Jr. and Owenetta Atauvich.

She attended school in Cache and received her LPN from Great Plains Vocational School and was working on her R.N. degree at Cameron University. Gabby also received a degree as a Pharmacy Tech at Platt College.

She is a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma. Gabby enjoyed being with her children and shopping.

She is survived by her husband, DeRoy Wolf; five children: Daylen Wolf, Carley Jean Wolf, Christopher Wolf, Sadie Wolf and Joshua Wolf, all of the home; siblings: Jeremy and Tatum Aitson, Mustang, Jarrod Aitson, Shania Gardner, both of Lawton; parents: LaVerne and Bonnie Aitson Jr., Apache; grandfather, Carl Atauvich, Cache; niece, Makenna Aitson; special brother, Kevin Aitson; numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nephews, and other family members and friends.
