© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, March 12, 1958 Wilma [Semkoff] Stiokoff Funeral Services Were Tuesday For Mrs. Stiokoff Funeral services for Mrs. Vasil Stoikoff were at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon in the First Baptist church with Rev. George Gaidoroff, Sterling, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Bob Williams, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery. Mrs. Stiokoff had been in ill health for several years. She had been in a nursing home at Clinton for the past three months and at Hobart nine days. She became critical shortly after being moved to Hobart and passed away Sunday evening. Wilma Semkoff was born July 19, 1883, in the Villiage Rodovena, Bulgaria, Europe. She was married to Vasil Stiokoff in 1907 in Bulgaria. They came to this country in 1911, settling near Hobart in Kiowa county. Three children were born to them. She and her husband soon became citizens of this country, which she dearly loved. They moved to the Carnegie community in 1940 and to the present home in 1950. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox church since early childhood. She lived a faithful christian life, loving country, friends and home. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Steve of Carnegie and Mike of Geronimo; one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Dobroff, Carnegie; three grandchildren, Mrs. Maria Nance, Carnegie, Carolyn Faye and Michael Wayne Stiokoff, Geronimo; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Christine Semkoff, two nieces and two nephews of Clinton; another sister-in-law, two nephews and a niece in Orlando, Fla. |
