Henry John Sticken Henry John Stickens, made his home with his son, W.C. Stickens the last few years 5 miles NW of Carnegie. He was born in Alderndorf, Germany on February 8, 1934 and died June 14, 1917 aged 83 years, 4 months, 5 days. He came to the US in 1858 married Susan Neuenchwander in Indiana. Survived by his wife & 6 children. Mrs. Sticken makes her home with son John in Washington. Their children are W.C. Stickens of Carnegie; Fred Stickens of Ogleville, IN; Mrs. Frank Romie of Ogleville, IN; Mrs. S.M. Meeks of Thayer, MO; John Stickens of Chewelah, WA; & Mrs. R.A. McDermott of Chewelah, WA. |

[Cruzan] Sticken Mrs. Pearl Sticken Dies Mrs. Pearl Sticken, former resident of this community and mother of Mrs. John Swanda, died at Oklahoma City Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church here at 3:00 p.m. today by Rev. Hanselman of Alfalfa and interment was made in the Carnegie cemetery. © Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1928 Pearl M. [Cruzan] Sticken Pearl M. Cruzan was born in Indiana August 29, 1976, and died November 13, 1928, aged 52 years, 2 months and 15 days. She moved to Missouri in early childhood and lived there until her marriage to W.C. Sticken in 1898. To this union six children were born, five of whom are living. The family came to Oklahoma with the early settlers in 1902 and lived near Carnegie until 1925 then moved to Oklahoma City September 14, 1928. She was converted in 1916 and united with the Methodist church of Carnegie in 1923. She is survived by her husband, J.J. Bryant and daughters, Mrs. John Swanda of this place, Mrs. W.H. Zimmerman of Oklahoma City, and Una, Ora and Dorothy Sticken of Oklahoma City. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church here Wednesday at 3 p.m., and interment was made in the Carnegie cemetery. |
