Graveside Rites Held For Victim Of Heart Attack

Graveside rites for Carla Diane Smith, 19-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith, Idalou, Texas, were held at the Carnegie cemetery Thursday afternoon. Rev. J.M. Riddlespurger, pastor of the Pentecostal Holiness church, officiated.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith are former residents of Carnegie.

The child had been ill with a heart ailment since birth. The parents were enroute Tuesday, May 7, to a Lubbock hospital when the child died. Plans had been made to take the child to a heart specialist in Dallas but she became quite ill before time for the appointment with the specialist.

She is survived by her parents and three sisters, Judy, Sandra, and Kathy all of the home in Idalou; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Boyd, Carnegie, and Mrs. Fannie Christian, Oklahoma City, and other relatives.
