© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma January 13, 1954 Lenora [Schmidt] Skinner Services Friday In Mountain View For Mrs. Skinner Services were in the Mountain View Baptist church at 2:30 Friday afternoon for Mrs. Melvin Skinner, 41, who died Wednesday, Jan. 13 in an Oklahoma City hospital. She had been seriously ill the past several years. Rev. Walter Davis, Mountain View pastor, conducted the services and was assisted by Rev. H.C. Lamb of Mountain View. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery under direction of the Pitcher Funeral Home. Lenora Schmidt was born near Carnegie Aug. 26, 1913, and lived in this and the Mountain View community all her life. She was married to Melvin Lee Skinner Feb. 1, 1932 and to them four sons were born. She first became a member of the Hopewell Baptist church, and later with her family, transferred her membership to the Mountain View church. Survivors are her husband, Melvin L. Skinner and their sons, Arden Lee, Jerry Ray, Dennis Joe and Gaylon Von, all of the home. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Dora Shullanberger, Visalia, Calif.; Mrs. Ida Hankins, Carnegie; and Mrs. Carrie Jantz, of Meno; and two brothers, Alfred Schmidt and Walter Schmidt of Carnegie, and many other near relatives. |
© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma September 1, 2004 Scott Lorn Skinner Funeral services for Scott Skinner, 41, of Carnegie were held Thursday, August 26, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Nazarene Church in Carnegie with Rev. Chip Perkins officiating. Scott was born January 4, 1963 in Oklahoma City to Arden and Shirley [Startz] Skinner and died Sunday, August 22, 2004 at his home. He was a long time resident of the Carnegie area and a farmer. He is survived by his son, Jaden Skinner and wife, Tahleesha of Carnegie; his mother, Shirley Skinner of Mountain view; four grandchildren, Jordon, Donovan, Trinity and Lindsey; maternal grandmother, Wilma Startz of Carnegie and his sister, Cathy Cape and husband, Jerry of Carnegie. He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents. A family interment will be held at a later date. Services were under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie. |
