[Brannon] Skeen Funeral services for Marjorie Skeen, 91, of Carnegie will be held Friday, February 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Carnegie with Rev. Chip Perkins officiating. Marjorie was born November 25, 1915 in Mountain View to George H. and Vera [Sanford] Brannon and died Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Carnegie Nursing Home. She married J.B. "Pete" Skeen on June 19, 1939 at Cordell. He preceded her in death in 1994.Carnegie OK. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Carnegie and was a well known artist, poet and quilt designer. She had taught art lessons in her studio at her home for many years. She was a member of the Oklahoma Anthropological Society and the Oklahoma Portrait Society.Carnegie OK She is survived by one son and his wife, Gary Jon and Carolyn Skeen of Carnegie; one daughter, Connie Jill Skeen Johnson of Carnegie and friend, Bill Hawkins of Fort Cobb; three sisters, Grace Young of Tulsa, Muriel Netherton of Madera, California, and Georgena Cella of Jamestown, New Jersey; six grandchildren, Cheryl Powers, Darrin Aucoin, Damon Wagner, Michael Aucoin, Tiffany Russell and Chris Wagner; and six great grandchildren, Daja Mandrell, Brandon Powers, Michael Powers, Haleigh Aucoin, Greg Russell and Deric Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Errol Kent Skeen and Lanny Skeen; and one daughter, Toni Danielle Skeen Aucoin. Burial will be in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie. |

Skeen Infant Graveside services were conducted at 5 p.m. Tuesday for infant, Lanny Skeen, born to Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Skeen at 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1 in the Carnegie hospital. Rev. Harry Hubbard, pastor of the Christian church, was in charge of services in the absence of Rev. Brodace Elkins. Attending services from a distance were Mrs. Skeen's sisters, Miss Georgena Brannon of New York City, Mrs. Grace Young of Bartlesville and Geraldine Wyatt of Oklahoma City. |
