Elmer J. Sandoe

Sandoe Funeral Services Held Here Saturday.

Funeral services for Elmer J. Sandoe, a pioneer resident of the Alfalfa community who died after a brief illness last Wednesday, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Pitcher funeral home in Carnegie.

Rev. Bob Williams, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, officiated at the services. Burial was made at the Carnegie cemetery.

Sandoe had made his home on a farm he homesteaded 13 miles northeast of Carnegie. A pioneer in that community the past 52 years, he had remained active and did all of his farm work until he became seriously ill only a few days before his death.

He was born on January 29, 1879, at Dunkerton, Iowa.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Louisa Friedley of Ponca City, and a number of nieces and nephews, many of whom attended the funeral services here Saturday.
