© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma May 15, 1957 December 27, 1906 ~ May 15, 1957 Jess Polly Funeral Set Jess Lee Polly, well known Carnegie resident, died suddenly Wednesday morning of a heart attack, Mrs. Polly was preparing breakfast when she heard a strange noise. She went to the bedroom where he was still in bed. Death came almost immediately. Polly had been employed at Applewhite Tire and Supply until Saturday night. He had planned to moved to Thomas, Okla., where he had similar employment. He had worked for different firms in Carnegie since coming her in 1923. He was born December 27, 1906, at Buffalo, Mo. He was reared at Hobart, his parents moving there when he was quite young. He was married to Miss Iva Henley November 9, 1928, at Hobart. He served two years with the U.S. army during World War II. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Iva Polly, of the home; two daughters, Emma Sue of the home and Mrs. Max Rozzell, Carnegie; one son, John, Carnegie; one brother; George W. Polly, Anadarko, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist church, with Rev. W.F. Crow, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Carnegie cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher Funeral Home. |
