© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma December 22, 2008 October 5, 1926 ~ December 19, 2008 The graveside service for Ada Rhee Harding, 82-year-old Enid resident will be 2 p.m. today, Dec. 23, 2008, in Alden Cemetery, Carnegie, Oklahoma, with Pastor Mike Suiter officiating. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Ada was born October 5, 1926, in Hillsdale the daughter of Martin Messenger and Goldie [Overton] Messenger and died Friday, December 19, 2008, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She attended school in Pond Creek until her father's passing and then the family moved to Enid where she graduated from high school. She married James Harding July 22, 1951. They traveled for 22 years with the military before settling in Enid in 1967. Ada enjoyed talking on the phone, helping and caring for others and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Suiter and her husband Jerry of Enid and JaRee Reisner of Cherokee; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Rick Harding. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation-Alzheimer's Division, with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund. |
