© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, April 24, 1946 Anna Minerva [Robinson] Flood 1888 ~ 1946 Mrs. Flood Is Traffic Victim; Services Here Final rites were held in the First Baptist church at 2:30 today for Mrs. Anna Flood, 57, former Carnegie business woman, who was killed in a traffic accident in Venice, Calif., April 12. Mrs. Flood was killed almost instantly when struck by a bus on the streets of Venice. She alighted from a bus and had started across the street when she was run down. She had made her home in California the past three years. Mrs. Flood and her husband, B.E. Flood, came to Carnegie from Gracemont about 27 years ago and soon after established a second-had furniture business which they developed and operated for many years. Mr. Flood died in 1927. Anna Robinson, was born at Frankford, Kans., November 2, 1888. She came with her parents to Oklahoma City in 1906 and was married to Mr. Flood Jan. 19, 1911, and to them one son, Fred, was born. Survivors besides her son who lives in Venice are three grandchildren; a brother, J.T. Robinson, Oklahoma City; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Patterson, Ocean Park, Calif., two nieces and two nephews. Rev. C.N. Price, pastor, conducted the services and burial was made in the Carnegie cemetery under direction of the Pitcher Funeral Home. Here for the services were Mr. Flood and Mrs. Patterson from California, and Mr. Robinson and other relatives from Oklahoma City. Anna Minerva [Robinson] Flood November 2, 1888 ~ April 12, 1945 |
