August 2015 Retta Beatrice [Oliphant] Fairless 1967 ~ 2015 Retta Beatrice Oliphant Fairless, 48, of Carnegie, Oklahoma, was called home by the Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Retta was born February 7, 1967 in Carnegie to Galen and Vivian Gayle [Brewster] Oliphant. She lived in Carnegie all of her life. She enjoyed sewing and scrapbooking. She was employed at the Caddo Kiowa Technology Center in Fort Cobb as a Truck Driving Instructor for 26 years. What Retta will be remembered most for was her love for her family, especially her grandkids, her giving heart and her smile. She was a selfless, strong lady who would do anything to help out her family and friends. Family always came first. Retta was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Carnegie. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Elizabeth Fairless and Melissa Fairless, both of Carnegie; Johnathan Fairless and fiance, Valerie Stewart of Yukon. Grandchildren: Megan Fairless, Amelia Fairless and John Wiley Fairless; 2 brothers: Tommy Oliphant and his wife, Linda Oliphant, of Carnegie and Billy Oliphant and his wife, Renda Mace, of Roosevelt; sister, Debbie Navarro of Carnegie. Neice: Teraysa Navarro of Meno, OK Nephews: Leocadio Navarro Jr. and his wife Lacey and their two daughters, Taylor and Ava. Tommy Oliphant and his girlfriend, Cody Lane and their two daughters, Alex and Scarlett and Christopher Oliphant. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many loving and caring friends. Retta is preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Gayle Oliphant, and grandmother, Beatrice Moss. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Rev. Arthur Blount will officiate. Burial will follow in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Fort Cobb Funeral Home.
