Davis Rites Held Saturday At Carnegie Church Funeral services for Wiley Benjamin Davis were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Bob Williams, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Carnegie cemetery. Davis, long-time resident of Carnegie., had been in ill health for a long time before death came Wednesday, April 16. He was born January 6, 1888, in Pulaski, Tenn., and was united in marriage to Maggie Sullivan in 1928 at Carnegie. Survivors include his wife of the home; four daughters, Mary Laverne and Dora, all of California, and Mrs. Haughty Lucas, Carnegie; six son, Leonard, Alton McCoy, Paul and Arthur, all fo California, Velmer of Arizona, and William of Hobart; three step-daughters, Mrs. Bessie Wells of Texas, Mrs. Dorotha Hice, Lawton, and Mrs. Nora Klassen, Weatherford; one step-sons, Jess Powers of Colorado; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Sutton, Oklahoma City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. |
