© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, January 21, 1948 Anna [Remy] Bucklew 1894 ~ 1948 Mrs. Ralph Bucklew Rites Here Friday; Suffers Long Illness Services for Mrs. Ralph Bucklew were at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Baptist church here under direction of Pitcher Funeral Home and burial was in the Carnegie cemetery. Rev. P. Boyd Smith, pastor of the Central Baptist church of Lawton, preached the funeral sermon. He was assisted by Rev. C.N. Price, pastor of the church here. Mrs. Bucklew died Thursday after being in ill health for the past two years. For the past year her condition has been serious. She was in St. Anthony hospital, Oklahoma City, at the time of her death. Mr. and Mrs. Bucklew moved to Lawton two years ago and made their home at 1703 Kenyon. Anna Remy was born January 31, 1894, at Old Moral, Pottawatomie county. She was married to Ralph Bucklew August 25, 1914, in Purcell. They came to Carnegie in 1916 and lived here until they moved to Lawton in March, 1946. She joined the Baptist church here in 1932 and when the family moved to Lawton she transferred her membership to Central there. She was also a member of the Rebekah and Woodman Circle. Survivors include the husband, two daughters, Mrs. Genelle McClung, Louisville, Ky., and Billie of the home, and two sisters, Mrs. A.D. Cox, El Reno, and Mrs. Ned Duncan, Wanette. Rev. and Mrs. McClung and Mrs. Duncan were among the relatives from a distance here for the funeral. Also here for the funeral were six representatives of the Midke Supply Co., for which company Mr. Bucklew is a representative. Anna [Remy] Bucklew January 31, 1894 ~ January 15, 1948 |
© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, July 10, 1918 Ralph H. Bucklew Jr 1917 ~ 1918 R.H. Junior, little 17-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Bucklew, died last Thursday week of summer complaint. The little fellow was sick three weeks. He was a picture of health, and was one of the largest babies in town for his age. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Friday conducted by the pastor, Rev. R.J. Morgan. The body was laid to rest in the Carnegie cemetery. R.H. Junior was born January 14, 1917, died June 27, 1918, aged 1 year, 5 months and 13 days. He was the only child. Ralph H. Bucklew Jr January 14, 1917 ~ June 27, 1918 |
