Brewster Funeral Services Are Held Sunday Afternoon

Funeral services for Charles Edward Brewster, Sr., were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pentecostal Holiness church, with Rev. Ogland Barger, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery.

Mr. Brewster, a resident of the Carnegie community for the past 50 years, died unexpectedly Wednesday night in his home on North Colorado. He had been in ill health for some time but was thought to be improving when death came. He was born September 29, 1881, in Missouri and came with his parents to Oklahoma at the age of 18.

He was united in marriage to Maudie L. Miller on July 20, 1918.

He became a member of the Carnegie Pentecostal Holiness church in August, 1955.

Survivors include: the widow, Mrs. Maudie Brewster; four sons, Harlen G., Oklahoma City; Charles Edward Jr., of Portland, Ore.; Harlen Edgar, Drumright; and Harold, of the home; eleven daughters, Ruby Cassidy of Los Angeles; Alice Rhodes, Anna Mae Robertson, Maxine Black of Carnegie; Iva Reed of Portland, Florence Mills of Gold Beach, Oregon; Joyce Gatlin of Stenett, Texas; Charlene Whisenhunt of Oklahoma City and Shirley, Faye and Linda of the home; 20 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two brothers, John Brewster of Fort Cobb and Dale Brewster of Roseburg, Oregon.
