© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, December 14, 1960 Sarah Louvina Arazona "Lulu" [Huckaba] Boyd 1871 ~ 1960 Mrs. Lula Boyd Funeral Services Held December 3. Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Boyd were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3, at the First Baptist church with Rev. N.N. Antonson, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery. Mrs. Boyd had been in failing health for some time. She had been in the Carnegie Nursing Home for over two years. She was taken to the Carnegie hospital Wednesday morning. November 30, where she died later that day. Sarah Lula Huckaby was born in Alabama on January 27, 1871, to Mr. and Mrs. John Huckaby. She moved from Alabama to Texas where she was married to William H. Boyd in 1890. They moved to Oklahoma in their early married life and made their home in and near Mountain View. Six children were born to them, three preceding her in death. Mr. Boyd died in 1955. After his death she moved to Carnegie. She had been a member of the Baptist church since an early age. She is survived by two sons, John of Empire, Calif., and Earl of Carnegie; a daughter, Mrs. Edith Mabry, Fort Cobb; 29 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
