© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, September 20, 2006 Edith Phoebe Lee Bowlin 1920 ~ 2006 Edith Bowlin, 86, formerly of Carnegie died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Carnegie Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. John Wagner and the Rev. Chuck Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Carnegie Cemetery by Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home. Mrs. Bowlin was born Feb. 12, 1920, in Vancouver, Wash., to Clyde and Bessie Rushton Lee. She was a graduate of Sedan High School. She was united in marriage to Hugh Bowlin on Oct. 10, 1940, in Chickasha. To this union were born two daughters. Mr. Bowlin preceded her in death in February 1987. She was a dietician and cook for the Alden and Carnegie schools, Carnegie Nursing Home and Carnegie Tri-County Hospital. She loved to sew and play the accordian and French harp. She enjoyed being around people. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hugh; a daughter, Loretta Gayle Davis; and two brothers, Larry Lee and Elmo Lee. Survivors include a daughter, Lois O. Fletcher and husband Steve of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Darrell Wayne Davis and wife Dwana and Heather Lee Wester and husband Todd; two great-grandchildren, Mason Lee Wester and Brylee-Nicole Wester; two sisters, Clyda Teer of Oklahoma City and Flossie Sawer of Manitoba, Canada; a brother, Sid Lee of Carnegie; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
