Arthur C. Black, 79-year-old Carnegie resident , were held Friday, Nov. 16, 1984 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Carnegie with Rev. Bob Williams officiating.

Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home.

Mr. Black was born in Cogar, Ok. on Oct. 26, 1905. He died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 1984 at the Carnegie Tri-County Municipal Hospital.

A widower and retired farmer, he married Madge G. Barkley on Oct. 31, 1928 at Hobart. She preceded him in death in 1976.

He had lived in Carnegie most of his life.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Treva Black of Carnegie; a granddaughter, Melissa Kay Black of Oklahoma City; a step-grandson, Kelly Ray of Carnegie; two brothers, Ray Black of Medford, Oregon and Alfred Black of Bakersfield, Ca.; and four sisters, Laura G. Hamilton of Medford, Oregon, Leona Hawkins, of Coos Bay, Oregon, Arnita Peters of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Izora Black of Grants Pass, Oregon.

Arthur Keith "Keith" Black
945 ~ 2005


Funeral services for Keith Black, 59, long time Carnegie resident were held Monday, September 19, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Carnegie with Dr. Richard Tinker officiating.

Keith was born October 9, 1945 in Visalia, California to Arthur Clark and Madge G. [Barkley] Black and died Thursday, September 15, 2005 at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Clinton.

He graduated from Carnegie High School, where he was active in FFA. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Carnegie, the I.O.O.F Lodge and the Carnegie American Legion Post and 40-8.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and has been in the cross country trucking business for the past few years. Keith worked a few years for the Town of Carnegie and was a volunteer fireman.

He married Treva Gail Lokey on August 4, 1975 at Lookeba-Sickles.

He is survived by his wife, Treva of the home; one daughter, Melinda Kay "Mindy" Adams and husband, Jay of Mustang; grandchildren, Tyler and Kayla; two step-sons, Terry Wayne Ray and wife Tonya of Burns Flat, and Kelly Dee Ray of Carnegie; three step-grandchildren, Savanah, Stephanie and Landyn.

Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie.

Treva Gail [Lokey] Black
1945 ~ 2005


Funeral services for Treva Black, 60, of Carnegie were held Monday, November 7, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Carnegie with Dr. Richard Tinker, pastor officiating.

Treva was born March 9, 1945 in Anadarko to Claude and Nadine [Shipp] Lokey and died Thursday, November 3, 2005 at the Carnegie Hospital after a brief illness.

She married Keith Black in 1975 in Lookeba-Sickles. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2005.

Treva had lived in Caddo County all of her life and graduated from Eakly High School.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Carnegie.

She is survived by two sons, Terry Wayne Ray and wife Tonya of Canute and Kelly Dee Ray of Canute; her stepdaughter and husband, Melinda Kay and Jay Adams of Mustang; five grandchildren; two brothers, Kelsey Lokey of Lookeba and Harlan Lokey of Norge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Keith.

Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie.
