© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, April 23, 1945 Claudia Belle [Holland] Beebe 1898 ~ 1945 Funeral rites for Mrs. Lee R. Beebe will be held at the First Christian church at 3 p.m. Thursday with Arnold Davis, pastor, conducting the service. Burial will be in the Carnegie cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher Funeral Home. Mrs. Beebe died Monday evening from a cerebral hemorrhage. She was first stricken as she took her place in the choir of the church at the morning service March 11. Altho she improved for a time, a second severe attack occurred ;late last week from which she did not revive. Claudia Holland was born December 5, 1898 at Wynnewood, being 46 years of age at the time of her death. She came with her parents to this community in 1914 and has lived in and near Carnegie since that time except for six years that she made her home in Anadarko. She was a member of the Christian church in which she was an active worker and a member of the Royal Neighbors. She was a past president of the American Legion auxiliary and had given much time in behalf of service men and their families. She was married to Lee R. Beebe February 9, 1918. Survivors include her husband, a son, Billy Thad, also her mother, Mrs. C.C. Holland, two sisters, Mrs. S.N. Beebe, of this place and Mrs. J.A. Glover, Butler, Mo. and other near relatives. Mrs. Glover arrived here several days ago and others here for the funeral and Mr. Glover of Butler, Mo. and her niece, Miss Ofa Lee Beebe, Washington, D.C. Bearers at the service will be Earl Roddy, W. F. Stratton, C.G. Law, Herman Lovell, E.E. Charles and B.W. Jolly. Claudia Belle [Holland] Beebe December 5, 1898 ~ April 23, 1945 |
