© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, September 14, 1955 Rutha Jane [Rhea] Banse 1872 ~ 1955 Mrs. Rutha Banse Rites Wednesday In Baptist Church Servicers for Mrs. Rutha Banse were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Baptist church, with Rev. W.F. Crow, pastor, officiating. Arrangements were in charge of Pitcher's funeral home. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery. Mrs. Banse died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Haught, Fort Worth. She had been in failing health since 1947, and was seriously ill six weeks. Rutha Jane Rhea was born near Rolla, Mo. March 21, 1872. She was married to John Banse at Rolla August 2, 1892. Mrs. Banse came to Carnegie in 1914 and lived here until 1947 when she went to Fort Worth to make her home with her daughter. Mr. Banse died April 1, 1945. Mrs. Banse was a member of the Baptist church here and transferred her membership to the White Settlement Baptist church at Fort Worth when she moved there. Survivors include three sons, James Ernest Banse, Chicago; Wm. Rhea Banse, Lafayette, Ill., and Delmar Ranse, St. James, Minn.; four daughters, Mrs. Wm. Pregler and Mrs. Earl Amos, Tulsa; Mrs. Haught, Fort Worth, and Mrs. Dee Sink, Tokio, Texas, and one sister, Mrs. Theo Allison, Carnegie.
