© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, Novenber 27, 1940 Johnnie William Anderson 1865 ~ 1940 Johnnie William Anderson was born September 6, 1865 in Springfield, Ill. He died November 24, 1940 at the age of 75 years in Lawton, Okla. He was baptised into the Baptist church when a young man. He leaves to mourn his death his wife and children, Mrs. Walter Allen, Palm Beach, Calif.; Myrtice, of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. C.A. [Hettie E. Anderson] Nix and Mrs. Addie Tilly, Carnegie; Mrs. Broy Lee, Bill and Oris, Oklahoma City; Mrs. John Eastep, Gracemont; Johnnie, Holly and Cecil, Lawton; two step-daughters, Mrs. Henry Lawson, Anadarko, and Mrs. Luther Harris, Lawton; 32 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held here Monday afternoon at the Carnegie Methodist church by Rev. W.Y. Switzer, pastor, and burial was made in the Carnegie cemetery. © Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, August 12, 1970 Ollie Bishop Anderson 1878 ~ 1970 Rites Held For Mrs. Anderson Funeral services for Mrs. Ollie Estelle Anderson, 93, a former resident of Apache, were held last Monday at the Carnegie United Methodist church. Mrs. Anderson died August 1 in a Lawton Nursing home following an extended illness. Interment was in the Carnegie cemetery. Mrs. Anderson was born in Montague county, Tex. and was married to J.W. Anderson in 1899. She was a long-time resident of Apache and had moved to Lawton in 1937. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Hattie Nix, Lawton; Mrs. Mamie Harris, and Mrs. Delora Woodard, both of Oklahoma City; three sons, Oris and Cecil, both of Lawton, and Bill of Oklahoma City; one stepdaughter, Addie Tilley, Apache; 29 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.
