© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, September 4, 1963 Beulah Lee [Byrd] Anderson 1898 ~ 1963 Former Carnegie Woman Dies; Rites Held Wednesday Funeral services for Mrs. Grover C. Anderson, Del City, a well-known former Carnegie resident were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the local First Baptist church. Rev. Ralph Crawford, Del City, officiated. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery with Pitcher Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Anderson died Monday, September 2, at Mercy hospital in Oklahoma City after a long illness. She had had surgery over a year ago but had improved until about two months ago, Beulah Lee Byrd was born July 9, 1898, at Corbitt, Okla. She was married to Grover C. Anderson on July 11, 1919, at Ada and made Carnegie and area their home for many years. They moved to Norman in 1948 and later to Del City. Her husband preceded her in death March 3, 1962. She wa a member of the Del City Baptist church. She is survived by one son, Junior Anderson of Del City; one daughter, Mrs. Berniece Green, Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Owen and Patricia Green, Ronnie and Carla Joy Anderson and Gary Daly; two brothers, Clovis Byrd, Oklahoma City and Orville Byrd, Van Nuys, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. Edna Ellison, Oklahoma City, and Grace Byrd and Mrs. Marjorie Courtland of California.
