© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, November 16, 1940 Betty E. [Mahin] Adams 1920 ~ 2014 Betty E. Adams, 93, Carnegie, OK, passed away Thursday, February 6th, 2014. She was born October 16th, 1920, in Cedar, KS, to Roy and Mable [May] Mahin. Betty was united in marriage to Dewey H. Adams, November 16, 1940, in Anadarko, OK, who presided her in death in 1976. Dewey and Betty owned the Adams Drug Store on Main Street and later the Adams Town East in Carnegie, OK. Betty was a long time resident of Carnegie, OK. She loved her family, all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything. Survivors include her son, Gary Adams and wife, Suzie, Corpus Christi, TX, three daughters, Cathy Tyler and husband, Randy, Carnegie, OK, Cindy Kolb and husband, Richard, Shawnee, OK, Debby Merritt, Hobart, OK, fourteen grandchildren and thirty two great-grandchildren. special gratitude to Corn Heritage Village and staff and also Integris Hospice and staff. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Service: 1:00p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Church of the Nazarene, Carnegie, OK. Officiating: Rev. Chip Perkins Burial will follow at the Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie, OK under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK, Memorials may be made to Integris Hospice and the Carnegie Library Betty E.
