© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma September 8, 1971 January 16, 1909 ~ September 5, 1971 Siemens Rites Held at Alfalfa Funeral services for Henry A. Siemens, 61, father of Mrs. Gene Lee of Carnegie, was held Wednesday, September 8, at the Alfalfa Baptist church. Rev. Loyd Randolph officiated. Siemens had been in failing health the past three years. Interment was in the Alfalfa cemetery. Siemens was born January 16, 1910 in Caddo county. He was a farmer in the Corn community for several years. In 1960 he moved to Eakly where he did soil conservation construction work. He suffered a stroke three years ago and was living in the Carnegie Nursing Home. He died Sunday afternoon, September 5, in the Carnegie hospital. He was a member of the Alfalfa Odd Fellow Lodge and was a Scoutmaster for several years at Corn and later at Alfalfa. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jewel, and his father, Abe Siemens. Survivors include his mother, Gertrude Siemens of Reedley, Calif.; four children, Mrs. Lee of Alfalfa, Jim Siemens of Yuma, Ariz., Alice Goerenger of Las Vages, Nev. and Gerald Siemens of San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, George of Illinois, Frank of Reedley, Calif., and Eddie of Wichita Falls, Tex.; four sisters, Easter Hamburg, San Pabelo, Calif., Rachel Bar, Selma, Calif., Ruby McDougle, Hobbs, N.M. and Leah Duggins, Arapho; and five grandchildren. |
