© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, May 5, 1937 Alfalfa Pioneer's Rites Held Friday Funeral services were held at the Alfalfa Church of Christ Friday afternoon for L. Bradley, well known resident of that community for the past 35 years. J.W. Webb, minister of the Mountain View Church of Christ conducted the services and burial was made in the Alfalfa cemetery. Levi Bradley was born in Iowa September 20, 1860 and died April 29, 1937. He moved to Kansas in 1870 and was married to Miss Ida Sheets December 25, 1885. To them four children were born, Mabel, Carrie and Reta and one son, Earl. The family moved to Caddo county in 1902 which place has since been home. He became a Christian in 1913 under the preaching of A.E. Freeman of Guthrie. He is survived by his son, Earl Bradley, and his daughter, Mrs. Reta Brown, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. His wife, two daughters and one grandchild preceded him in death. Relatives from a distance here for the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Ed Green and daughters, Altus, and Mrs. Will Cross, El Reno. |
