Anderson Rites At Alfalfa Thursday

James Marlow Anderson, well known farmer of the community northeast of town for the past thirty years, died at his home about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. He had suffered a stroke of apoplexy Sunday morning.

Funeral services will be held at the Alfalfa Baptist church at 3 o'clock Thursday, it was announced late Wednesday afternoon.

J.M. Anderson Rites Saturday Morning

Funeral services for J.M. Anderson, well known Carnegie farmer and ginner,were held at 11 a.m. Saturday following his death Wednesday, Dec. 29 at his home northeast of Carnegie. Marion M. Monk, pastor of the Carnegie Methodist church, conducted the services at the Alfalfa Baptist Church and burial was made in the Alfalfa cemetery.

James Marlow Anderson was born in Chathuga county, North Georgia, August 15, 1868 and was 69 years, 4 months and 14 days of age at the time of his death.

He had been a member of the Christian church for a number of years.

He was united in marriage to Eva Lena Melton on Feb. 22, 1902 and to them two sons and three daughters were born. They are Mrs. Dura Ledford of Alfalfa, Mrs. Mable Gunter of Dewey and Ona Stevens of Carnegie and Doyle and Leon Anderson. Leon came from Laverne, Ariz. to attend his father's funeral. Besides his immediate family, his aged mother, three sisters, three brothers and seven grandchildren survive.
