© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, March 11, 1925 April 9, 1899 ~ March 3, 1925 Zona Peoples was born April 9, 1899, and died at the University hospital, Oklahoma City, March 3, 1925, age 25 years, 10 months and 22 days. She was married to Marion Stanley at Apache, September 4, 1912. To this union 8 children were born, 4 of whom survive. Four passed away in infancy. She was converted and united with the Baptist church in 1911. She leaves a husband, four children, two brothers, four sisters and a host of friends to mourn her departure. One brother, Calvin Peoples, of Gracemont, was present at the funeral. Rev. W.M. Tooman preached the funeral service at Alden church at 3 p.m. Thursday. Interment was made in the Alden cemetery. ~ ~ ~ Mrs. Marion Stanley was buried at the Alden cemetery Thursday at 3 o'clock. Rev. Tooman conducted the services. Mrs. Stanley was Zona Peoples before her marriage and was raised in the Cache neighborhood. She leaves a host of friends who extend their sympathy to the bereaved. |
© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, January 1, 1919 August 17, 1917 ~ December 24, 1918 Little Lahoma Wanette Stanley, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. M.S. Stanley, born August 17, 1917 and died Tuesday December 24, 1918 age 1 year, 4 months and 7 days. Burial in Alden cemetery. Survivors are her parents, one sister and one brother. |
© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, January 15, 1919 April 12, 1916 ~ January 11, 1919 Little William Sylvester, son of Mr. and Mrs. M.S. Stanley was born April 12, 1916, and died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1919, aged 2 years, 8 months and 23 days. Death resulted in the base hospital at Ft. Sill from an attack of influenza and pneumonia. He was sick but fifteen days when the death angel called him from the arms of his loving parents. He was a bright and intelligent child and leaves a vacancy in the home that can never be filled. The body was shipped to Carnegie and buried in the Alden cemetery Saturday, January 11. |
